Well I’m a Disney girl and have conquered all the “Scary” rides such as Cosmic Rewind, Tron, EE, RNRC, space mountain, etc. -that said, how will I handle the big headliners such as Velocicoaster, Hulk, and others? From what I can see from the videos they make the rides in Disney look like kiddie rides. I do take a bonine beforehand because I don’t want to feel my equilibrium to be off for the day. So are these rides really next level or no?

Yeah - nothing at Disney compares to the rides at Universal or Seaworld for that matter.

Hulk is probably the most stressful one - people do black out on it I guess. I do get very lightheaded on it.
Velocicoaster is a much nicer ride than Hulk - but far more exciting than anything Disney has.
I still have not done Stardust - it was down for several days when I was there during previews - but I hear it pretty amazing.
Hagrids is a decent - but basic coaster IMO. People love it because its HP - Im a bit indifferent to it.

Wolfman is a big disappointing - its a spinning coaster and very short - did not enjoy it at all. IT did make me fill unwell.
I enjoy the old spinning coaster at the Dino Area at Ak - but that is gone now - this is a bit rougher IMO.

Rock and Roll Roller coaster and Everest are no where near as intense as the big ones at Universal.

Even Cosmic Rewind is pretty tame IMO - but still one of my favorite coasters -its just a very unique experience.

A lot of the Universal rides are "next level" for sure, in a good way :) The only one that makes me feel sick is Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. Hulk just makes me feel old. Everything else is smooth and fine (once Rip Ride Rockit is retired....)

Hagrids is so popular because of a few things - it's a big coaster that lots of people can do (it's a decent first coaster, no inversions, no major drops/height), it's got cool animatronics and mechanisms, it's an actual storyline on the ride, the ride style on the motorbike, and of course HP remains very popular.

Hagrids or Mummy would be the best first Universal coaster to try out, intensity wise (I assume you're not really counting stuff like the Trollercoaster or the Hippogriff coaster, the true kiddie coasters). And Gringotts if you count that as a coaster, it's technically on a coaster track but aside from one (mostly exaggerated) initial drop it's more traveling along the track than any real roller coastering.

Hulk is rougher but not as much air time, so some people prefer that - it feels more "secure" since your butt is more firmly in the seat. Velocicoaster is a great ride with lots of air time, height, launches. I understand Stardust is similar. I would liken these to your "big coasters" elsewhere, Seaworld/Busch Gardens, Cedar Fair, Six Flags (although much better themed than Six Flags).
None of those three tell any kind of story or incorporate any animatronics (as far as I know, Stardust doesn't either). They're excellent coasters in cool environment with a themed queue. Velocicoaster does additionally have an actual backstory, and highly themed ride setting. They're more about the thrill of the ride than any type of "story."

How does cosmic rewind compare to Velocicoaster?
For me Cosmic Rewind is pretty tame - really cool and a favorite - but there is nothing that is intense.

Velocicoaster is fast and smooth - but has a crazy top hat and that heartline.

Have you checked out the POV?

LOVE both. Totally different vibes, but both are so much fun, and very smooth.

Velocicoaster has a couple of very intense elements that are a different level than anything on Cosmic Rewind, but I rode it back-to-back once and still felt fine, and I don't have the strongest stomach in our family....

How does cosmic rewind compare to Velocicoaster?
It doesn’t. VelociCoaster you have high speeds, inversions where you come off your seat instead of being pressed into it. The barrel roll at the end - you think you are going to do a header into the lagoon. The first time i rode, had to shut my eyes.

Yeah I would put Velocicoaster at least a couple of tiers above Guardians in terms of intensity. Aside from the reverse launch and obviously the tilting Guardians is pretty tame in comparison IMO.

Strongly recommend watching ride POVs to get a sense of how these rides look.

Hagrid’s I would compare to Everest plus a surprise like ROTR. You have some speed, plus a backwards section. Hulk and VC don’t compare to anything at WDW. I have not been to Epic yet- going in September.

Next level is an understatement for Universal. They went all out to design and make their coasters.

My thought on the coasters, ranking from lowest to highest intensity. RnRC is excluded since I haven't been on it for decades.

Space Mountain
Donkey Kong
Mummy
Tron
Hagrid's
Expedition Everest
Cosmic Rewind
Rip Ride Rockit (may be permanently closed)
Stardust (yellow track)
Velocicoaster
Hulk

I view the velocicoaster as more intense than hulk, hulk is just rough. Sitting in the front makes it a lot smoother. I love big, fast coasters, kingda ka, el toro, millennium force, etc. and velocicoaster is legit. Sit in the front, don’t hold on, and breathe.

My suggestion for hulk (all coasters in general, but especially hulk because it IS rough and loud) is to make sure you're hydrated and not starving...we looped it a few times before lunch one day and it was a bad idea. My spouse has blacked out before on a kings dominion coaster for the same reason - dehydrated and tired at the end of the day.

I just rode rock n rollercoaster for the first time a few weeks ago and it immediately reminded me of mummy.
