I call in from my car in the parking lot...then stop at staples and photocopy, then go to the drive up mail box on my way home....maybe 5 minutes? I dont think I can cut it any less than that. I have my envelope with me, and my stapler in the durango........ unless of course you have a copier at home, but I dont.

That's quick. Sometimes, I'm finishing my totalling up at home from my tally marks if there was ALOT to count. Calling in after dinner sometimes. I scan to make copies. And mail it the next day while out OR DH mails it in the morning on way to work if I'm not going out. Its just that it gets spread out over hours. lol

Did anyone else NOT receive a paycheck yet for dates of 5/5 - maybe 5/11 ish? I was expecting it last Fri or Sat & its still not here today (Mon). I worked 6 events that week & I tend to mail forms individually, but may have doubled up on some. Surely, they must have received SOME of my forms?

Waiting for a reply from them.

My check arrived on Saturday & I was only paid for 5/7 not 5/5. I called & emailed on Friday as I noticed the error on ADP. No response yet. I was paid $87 for 5/7 as it was high profile, I hope that 5/5 is too!

Just unbooked 6/17 Diet Pepsi- no way can i do fathers day- dh & my dad would not be happy.

I got my check today paid thru 5/6. The one i had sitting here was for 4/28/29 i imagine, cant find the stub. wait found it, yep for 4/28 and 29. So i am good thru the 5/6 event dates and one of those i think it was coppertone was high profile so i got the $27 enhanced rate....woohoo!!

Wow, I hope all those Coppertones I did the first week in May end up being high-profile even though they didn't say so. THAT would be AWESOME! Still holding my breathe for a reply from SPI about check or to see if its in tomorrows mail. I hate not being able to log into ADP anymore.

Quick Question...

I am signed up thru Staying Connected (Is this spi ). I have my sign in info and everything, but there are just not very many jobs at all in my area.

Is there an additional company I can sign up thru that might have more? Right now I only show 3 within 30 miles of my home and I don't live in the sticks.

rcpae Welcome. What span of time are you looking? You could live in an area that has a lot of competition. Don't get discouraged though with this the early bird gets the worm so to speak. I know I check the site a couple times a day.

For instance just now I typed in my zip and to search a 40 mile radius for anytime in the next 60 days. Well, it came up with 2 jobs literally at a town 39 miles away and that was it.

Maybe I need to begin checking more often. I usually check once a day or every other day. I must definately have some competition. Also, I am more interested in the weekday events versus the weekend events. Are those harder to come by?

rcpae, Just keep checking everyday and that is a must. As soon as events post you will get a feel for how much competition you have. In my experince I can easily go weeks with little to no events and then the next two weeks, theres event galore coming up. Right now im i a dry spell, literally the first thing in a couple of weeks was the diet pepsi max.

In my area the weekday jobs stay posted longer, the weekend ones get booked up quick so you may be better off there. Also i have noticed that a popular day to put stuff up, and remeber this varies because sometimes i see people say an event is up and it takes a couple of hours to show for me or even a day, anyway back to what i was ssayin that a popular day that events go up in my area is friday afternoon thru night. So now I make sure i check like clockwork on firdays, altho like someone else said you relaly need to be checking everyday and even a coupl etimes a day to make sure.

I've only been doing this for just over a year, but last summer was pretty slow. People are too busy doing other things or want to be with their families...so it just seems they don't do alot of events like they do other times of the year when stores are busier.

I don't know if that holds true for SuperTargets though since I don't have any of those. I was mainly speaking of Walmart, Walmart SuperCenters, Kmart & regular Target.

I also don't know if summers are slow for other demo companies either.

RE: Summer....I was hired May 2006 and did not get my 1st event until Sept.! Hope this summer is not that slow!

Yes, summers tend to slow down. This is why I am doing alot of work now to get ready for summer. But by the time August rolls around it gets busy again.

Like everyone says keep constantly checking. I think we are due for a new release soon since they have not posted any new events in a while.

I know around here Dillons (which is Kroger) uses a different company and I don't think they are paid near as well as MC/SPi people!

I know that the Meijer in my area uses a company called Elite. I have not tried to get in with them--not sure if they work like MC or not. I have thought about it as Meijer is literally 2 minutes from my house but as I can't even grocery shop without running into and talking to 2 or more friends I thought that I might get too distracted while working. I have no problem with people knowing what I do but I don't like feeling divided between what I need to be doing and being social!

Thanks! I was worried there. Been working for over a year and never had this before. There have been jobs not taken lately, it seems most of my competition has disappeared.

But, even with the competition disappearing, I still don't have much in the next 60 days, only 2 jobs, Diet Pepsi and an offdate Yoplait Whips. Other demo people I talk to tell me their companies get very slow during the summer, too.
Also, rcpae, weekday jobs aren't as plentiful as weekend jobs. Walmart has started having Friday jobs, which I like. Doing offdates is your best bet for a weekday, but if you have lots of competition, you probably won't get offdates. Welcome to the group!
