Just starting to look over tomorrow's Pillsbury Cinnamon Roll directions. WOW, the directions are really lacking. I would hate to be a newbie. It never even mentions hat, extension cord or duct tape for toaster oven. I'm also bringing a cutting board & spatula. Can you imagine getting there on your first cooking demo & not having an extension cord because it wasn't listed. :confused3 Yes, its a given to us...but what about not so experienced people. We only know because they used to list that stuff.

I wonder how many rolls at a time is a good # to cook. On the biscuits, we cooked 4 at a time. These directions don't say. I'm thinking of doing 4 at a time & see how it goes.

It sounds STICKY. :rotfl: I think a little bit of water for washing / wiping things through-out might be helpful.

Its sounds like a fun easy event. I sooooo wish there were some off dates near me. NOTHING. Boohoo.

Yep, lets get ready for the cinnamon rolls! I sure hope it goes better than the biscuit demo! Here is to Cinnamon Rolls X4 !!

Did anyone pick up the Polvores( I know I butchered that word) on 4/7

I'm making a sign with Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls picture on it for the table & a spot for the price. If anyone wants a copy, just PM me your email address. You can print it out. I'm going to do it in Word...so its going to be a .doc file.

I had that one, but it was unbooked by the company, So I picked up something else for that day...... I would love to make them, but maybe I will have one for an off date.....

How do you have the picture set up, do you tape it to the table.??

Yeah, that's what I did on the biscuits. Or folded like a tent card & placed on top of toaster oven, or on the table.

My pet peeve is dairy events where you have no box on the tabe & no signs telling people what it is they are eating or what the package looks like. LOL

The sign is ready for anyone who wants a copy. Nothing great. Nice & simple & gets the point across.

How many times during your biscuit event did people say from a distance "what are those?".

OMG :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: Has anyone ever received an oven mitt & pot holder in one of their kits? I just opened my Cinnamon Rolls kit, & the ones in there are GAWD AWFUL UGLY!!!!! Worse than anything from a Dollar Store. :lmao:
1950's green with big yellow, purple & white flowers, with blue & white striped edging. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

So much for the sleek black & white appearance. lol These are sooooo Suzy Homemaker. NOT!!!!

Yes I got the the oven mitt and pot holder:lmao:
I was looking at the Neutrogena event instructions and it doesn't say anything about a hat. Do I still need to wear one. It only says black apron.
For the cinnamon rolls, do we need to wear the bouffant and the hat or just the bouffant???

I'm wearing bouffant AND hat. You won't catch me dead or alive in just a bouffant....wearing those oven mitts. :lmao:

For the Neutragena, if it doesn't mention hat, you don't need one since no food. You can wear it if you want to however. A few times I have for cleaning events. We always need hat with food, but Walmart is only one who requires bouffant (too).

Duct tape is required to tape your extention cord to the floor so no one can trip on it. Use long strips. FYI: Walmart sells rolls in hardware for about $1. I've acquired several rolls over events that we were instructed to buy duct tape. Sometimes they don't mention it, but we are supposed to use it.

I also like to keep a nite light in my bag so I can test outlets before I get all set up & find out the outlet doesn't work & then need to move. If no nite light, just put your toaster oven on floor first & plug it in to make sure it works before you set up table.

Another missing item from Pillsbury cinnamon roll kit. We don't have the sign that says "Caution - Hot; No samples under 14 yrs old" & reverses to the Break Time sign. I'm tossing in an extra I had. I guess I'll start saving these. I haven't been getting any with Target kits, but now Walmart kits too? :confused3

So...for any newbies...here's my final list in addition to what MC listed. Good luck tomorrow.

So, here's my list of extra stuff for tomorrow:
extention cord (& 3 prong adaptor even though I haven't needed it yet)
duct tape ( & nite lite to test outlet)
hat
hot / break sign
trash can & bags

And I'm also bringing to make my life easier:
cutting board we got in last several events
spatula
pillsbury rolls price & picture sign that I made for table -- and scotch tape & a magic marker
water to washing sticky knives & table
plastic table clothe
my trusty plastic gold tray to serve from
my anti-fatigue mat to stand on.

And if your toaster oven doesn't have a timer, then some sort of timer or watch. Don't forget to pre-heat again between each batch. That worked best last time.

Thanks for the help! I don't know what i would do without the dis! Oh and one more thing where do you put your extra cinnamon rolls? Do you put them in the cooler in the back somewhere or is it just in the regular cooler area that shoppers see?

I'm going to keep mine in a plastic Walmart bag with the hold sign attached. And I'll keep in the closest cold dairy case to me. Sometimes, its ended up being an open frozen food case, but I just leave it on very top so I try not to freeze the stuff. lol The electric plugs are USUALLY at the bottom (ends) of the open frozen food cases. This is a brand new store I'm at tomorrow. DH & I didn't see plugs there on recent shopping trip, but we did find plug on wall near cinn rolls case, so that's where I'll be.

You'll do fine now that you have a full list of stuff to bring. No worries.

PM me your email addy & I'll send you a sign to print out for your cinn rolls table.

One more question sorry! What is the aluminum foil for? I noticed that I am suppose to buy some, but in the instructions it never mentions using it? TIA!

On the Pillsbury biscuits we had to buy it too. Use just enough to line your toaster oven tray for baking. I also used it to keep them warm between cutting & serving. I used new foil with each baking batch. You'll have foil left over. It was about 86 cents.

And this time they mention cooking spray too. But they did fail to say what both items were for, didn't they? My biscuits didn't stick to the foil...but I guess the rolls might.
