Those electric skillet events (Betty Crocker?) off dates are EXTENDED to 6/7. I'm still at parents, but she doesn't have an electric skillet I could borrow either. Bummer.

And apparently, I missed the 6/2 Coppertone off-dates. Someone finally took some besides me I guess. I think I'm Coppertoned out anyway.

We're distributing empty beverage cups (along with a coupon) and inviting guests to try Cherry Coke Zero from the self serve beverage fountain in Food Avenue. We're to display the 12pks on our table for immediate sales.

LOL, that sounds easy for you, but a pain for the customer. Is the coupon for use in Food Ave for the "sample" or is the coupon to buy product from you after?

Just came from the mail box and my check (which was for 5/5) was there.

Now for the really good news. There was an envelope from MC with a letter stating I was selected as the winner of the MC Smucker's Hungry Jack Potatoes Display Contest along with a $25 WM gift card. Now my display was OK, but nothing like what I've seen from brivers.

It doesn't say, but I'm guessing it's to buy product since nobody "mans" the beverage fountain. If the kit can't be located, we're to have cups QMOS'ed to execute the event so in that case, we wouldn't have coupons.

This is close to the "winning" photo. I know I sent one that was better cropped. I retrieved the original from my recycle bin and did a quick crop. All I can say, it must have been a slow photo day. Plus, I had the camera sitting on a shelf across from me doing the self timer.

Home from doing Garnier today. Pretty boring but went faster than I thought......hope it goes fast when I do it again on Thursday!

Most people were there to buy food for bbq-ing this weekend, stuff for the lake (even though it's raining!) and Advil!! Yes, everyone seemed to be crammed into the pain reliever aisle! I'm thinking it's because school is out around here and everyone is home w/ kids!

Okay, here was my weird person/question of the day:
I saw this woman circle me a couple of times. Finally she comes running over to me and says "where is the douche?" I went "ummmmm" and she goes "it's been moved and I can't find the douche" in a panic voice!!! I did not have the heart to tell her that most doctors think you should not use it anyway!!
Oh my, one in every crowd right?!

I did the Garnier event today also.
The store was really crowded. I got rid of all the samples but no one wanted to use the testers.
My customer of the day was a 60ish year old man that asked if I was giving samples of hand cream. I replied no "It's a new skincare product maybe your wife could use." His reply was "Is it vanishing cream?"

Kpauley, nice to "see" you. That is a great display. Nice & tidy. I like the boxes in front of the microwave like that. I'm usually putting them on top. I'll have to see if I have room on my table next time to do that. I think your microwave might be smaller than mine. It looks like you have a little more room to work on the side. Nice one!

Are you with TMT? I'm SPI. I don't have a name tag. Is it just your name or the company? And I've wondered if any winners would have things other than sent items on table. Glad to see the answer is YES! I too use something to hold the spoons. And a winner without having to wear the shower cap! EXCELLENT!!!!!! That picture answers alot of things I've wondered about.

My last 2 or 3 events I switched to a blonde "old lady" hairnet at WM to see if anyone would say anything to me. No one said boo. I figured they wouldn't since we see many people without them. Apparently its ok with our company too if your photo won. NICE!

Did you all say your 5/5 coppertone/splashers was an "enhanced" event meaning more pay?? I thinking I read that and looks like it was!
Pay was for $85.00 instead of $70.00!! Now I just hope the 2 Garnier's I'm going are "enhanced" also like it was last time I did Garnier!

OMG today was HORRIBLE! I did Fancy Feast/Wicker Lickins/Tidy Cat... I attempted to hand out the coupons, but no one and I mean no one for wanted them... for five hours. Apparently no one in this county owns cats - or so they said. So I straighted shelves, I taped coupons to the shelf product and was bored bored bored! Why oh why do I continue to torture myself by booking Cleaning/Pet Food/Health Beauty events?! And what am I doing tomorrow?! Vaseline lotion.. a roaming event; only problem is that it is at the same store as today & the kit was no where in sight.

Splsh- How'd you do at the sale today? We are having our annual neighborhood garge sale next weekend. I seem to make money on hot dogs & refreshments. I'm cutting all my proces this year on clothing & toys everything will be $1. I have to get rid of this stuff.

We do it every Fri/Sat of Memorial Day weekend. My mom makes out like a bandit with the plants she sells. I never do as well as I hear others do. Besides the $1200 jetski, we only made another $113. My stuff is usually house stuff. We don't have kids. And since it was going to be super hot, I picked up 2 cases of water at WM. Cost 16 cents per 20 oz bottle. We had them on ice, and tried to sell for 75 cents each. NO TAKERS!! We also didn't get as many people I think because of the heat. It was 92 degrees yesterday.....so WE drank the water. I've sold water, soda & chips before....so I don't know what the problem was. My prices on stuff is usually low & people still try to talk me down. I agree most times because I just want to get rid of it also. We didn't have much left at all. We've been cleaning out like crazy the last couple of years since we thought we were moving, so we didn't have as much left this year. I've also given alot of stuff away to others.

The jetski would have been sold on Craigslist if it didn't go at the yardsale.

I'm with TMT & SPi. Originally assigned to TMT and was also assigned to SPi back in mid March. The name tag was what came in the TMT new hire kit and only has my name - no company. I decided to keep it on my apron for both companies incase I'm audited, they'll know they have the right person. As far as the "shower cap", I wore it a couple of times and noticed not all of the other demo people wore one, so I decided until someone from WM tells me otherwise, I'll just wear my hat.

I'm back from my ST event Archer farms Italian sausage. The store was not very busy but the day didn't seem to drag thank goodness. I hope everyone is having a good Memorial day weekend.

I assume you live in an area that makes $80 for 5 hrs and you worked an off-date. $80 + $15 enhanced - $8 off date = $87.

I got my paycheck. I got my paycheck. Grossed $516 working 6 days in 1 week. Paid for 5/5 thru 5/11. And ALL the Coppertones I did were paid at enhanced rate...even the off date ones (less $8 of course). SWEET BONUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just waiting to be paid on 6 more events now. woohoo

This year-to-date paystub is just $200 shy of what I made doing demoing last year. I'm sure the next paystub will surpass.
