Well, I took the plunge, I faxed my notorized paper in today to MC. I need to clear something up with you active folks- so you get to keep what you don't sample out? You don't have to send it back to them? Please explain to me how this works. I know- you sign up for what you want and they send stuff to your house (right?). But then they also have napkins and spatulas and stuff they send too? Great! So this will all be explained when they interview me? I am very excited to get this going for some extra cash. My want list is growing...

You don't get to keep the product (samples). You leave that with the store manager. You can keep any "equipment" like napkins, cups, forks, tableclothes, knives, cutting boards..... You keep it for future demo work...not for personal use. There will be times you will need it. Like if you didn't get a kit in time, or it was lost at the store. I'm giving you the official answer here. After a year+, I've got more napkins than I'll ever use for demo, so I'm going to donate to a good cause when I find one.

I have an event Thursday that I never received a kit for....but I've done the same product 4 times recently & I'm doing it tomorrow. They gave me the ok to keep a box of each cereal to use at the demo on Thursday. That's an exception & I have it in writing from my event co-ordinator. You can be fired for keeping product.

You are not supposed to keep the extra samples. Supposedly, they consider it theft. You are supposed to throw everything away. They will send everything you need except for refrigerated items. They will send you a debit card that will be used for clocking-in/out and purchasing any refrigerated goods. I've only done five events so far but it really is a simple job. It's so much easier than teaching 20 or so five-year olds anything. I had five events for May and am scheduled for 8 events so far in June. I live in a pretty rural area though and don't have a lot of competition.

You do not get to keep the sample product. Usually you give unused sample product to the manager when you leave unless your instructions tell you otherwise. You can keep supplies.....cups, napkins, etc.... So far, with WalMart events, the kit has come to my house. I've only had one Target event kit come to my house, all the others are sent to the store. So far, all of my KMart event kits have gone to the store. I never had a phone interview so nothing was really explained to me. What I know, I've picked up on this thread.

If the manager does not want to keep your unused stuff, you are free to take it! I had a manager look at me like I was crazy and said "you bought it, I don't want it" and so I called the agency and was told that was fine! I could keep it, give it away to someone who could use it etc...she said just have them put "refused items" on the sheet they sign!:thumbsup2

I know for a FACT Michigan did NOT get a raise... That makes me very angry!

And to answer splashes question about stores:

Kmarts: 10 Different ones
Good Foods: 2 Different ones
Targets: 5 different ones
Walmarts: 6 different ones

There are a few other single stores I have been to... I just checked over my bookings... I have done 110 events since last July!!! Go me! I think I DESERVE that raise.... Come On mass connections... give Michigan a raise, we work JUST AS HARD!

Let's get KANSAS a raise also! I can hardly afford the gas anymore to drive to the events!!!:sad2:

I have the Coppertone/ Iced tea this weekend and in the instructions it says use the beach ball for your display. I didn't get a beach ball in my kit. Did anyone?

I too have more napkins than I a. know what to do with them and b. can acutally store. I have like 4 unused packs just sitting there and finaly have extra spoons. I wish they would send me extra souffle cups since that is what i always run out of.

Picked up the Coke event for 6/10, can't do the 6/30 event.. I'll be in WDW :cool1:

BTW I had my first day off (in like 27 days!) on Monday & I decided to clean out my office... I took every extra product I had & dropped it off at the soup kitchen... I just couldn't take it anymore!!! My house was starting to look like a party supply store.

I’m so excited I just had to share this. We’re going to Disneyland. :woohoo: :woohoo: A new airline (Skybus) started flying out of Columbus last week and just added a new route to San Diego this morning. The first 10 seats on all of their flights are just $10 + fees. Our family of 4 is going round-trip, non-stop for $163 at the end of July. We’ll start in San Diego and go to the zoo then drive up to Anaheim for Disneyland and maybe Universal Studios. Can’t believe I’ll have been to both WDW and DL in the same year. Now how many demos can I get in by the end of July.;)

As far as napkins, I have 8 full packs of 500. I’ve already gave napkins, spoons, and forks to my nephew’s Cub Scout troop and am going to check and see if the local food pantry can use the rest.

And since we’re at it, I’ll put in a plug for Ohio to get a raise!

I put my report forms and receipts for 5/5 and 5/6 in the same envelope and have only been paid for 5/5. I sent an email to Taylor but haven't heard anything yet. I checked ADP and am being paid for 5/11 this week. It's a good thing I make copies of all my reports and receipts I guess :confused3

I also managed to lose my MC card sometime last week as well :headache: Sent an email to Taylor but haven't heard from her about that either.

Sounds like more people have had trouble when they put more than 1 report in the same envelope! Might be worth the extra 41cents to just mail them in their own envelope!

Are these for reg Targets 4 hr events or Super Target events. Only thing showing up here are more CopperTone events for 6/30:scared1:

Funny thing... My wife can see the 6/30 event in E-booking and I can not. however, we both were able to book the 6/10 event. I wonder why I can not see the event... I have way more stuff checked off than she does to boot! Maybe cause she is a gal and I am a guy.... That is sooooo sexist Mass Connections ;)

A co-worker here in my office has the same problem....she only gets food events and never see's the Garnier, Coppertone etc....that I see!:confused3

Well i am not seeing anything new in my area for June, I am so jealous of you all that have all these new events, I ahev only seen 2, well 3 really i guess, the 2 on 6/16, one of which i booked and the soda one on 6/10 otherwise nothing.

I also mail my stuff together in the envelope and havent had a problem but i also send return receipt certified so mayeb that why.

I've always mailed all my stuff together and hadn't had a problem before. Well Cassie is a star :thumbsup2 She got me all straightened out. My 5/6 paycheck is processed and will be mailed next week they said. My daughter is also doing events and we're at the same store on Sat. She is to activate her card and get her stuff. I am then to activate the card and get my stuff on her card. She is to make a cash swipe out and I will use her card to swipe out. I should have a new MC card next week. Good deal.

Got my kit for my very first event this weekend! When FedEx dropped it off i immediately noticed one whole corner was wet. I don't know if they sat it in a puddle or what. The box is literally falling apart :rolleyes1 Thank goodness nothing fell out where it's came open at.
So do you all transport everything to the store in this box or do you transfer it to something smaller? I guess I could try taping the box back together, but with the cardboard being wet that probably won't work too well!
Oh, and another question...it states to wear the tshirt, hat and pin provided. I assume i'm to wear my black pants? If so, I need to go buy a different pair of pants as the ones i'm using won't feel right with a tshirt tucked in them LOL

Cool! How old is your daughter?
