Waitlisted for Thanksgiving week - Any hope?

We currently have a 2br at BWV reserved for the week of Thanksgiving. (Sat. to Sat.) Since we almost always stay at BWV since it's our home resort, we thought we would try something new. We could get nothing except for SSR and we didn't want to stay there this trip. Is there any hope for the fact that we're waitlisted @ OKW and BCV? We are okay with the boardwalk but were wondering what our chances are.

I guess I should have clarified....I could have moved sometime during the week. I don't want to do that. There are going to be 6 of us and lots of luggage and food and stuff....don't want the hassle. So to clarify, any hope of getting the entire week elsewhere?

lol Lori, you are asking for a crystal ball guess here, but I would say your chances are pretty good, especially since you are close to the 7 month window, so probably real high on the waitlist.

I was wait listed last year for the exact same times at BWV. (2 bdrm) The waitlist came through in less than a month. Good luck !!

I'm just trying to figure this out. The 7 month window recently opened at all the resorts. Are you saying that already they're all full except SSR? And is that just for 2 BRs? I'm wondering because when I called to reserve OKW, right at the 7 month window, the CM said "There's plenty of availability! You don't need to reserve day by day-unless you want to, of course." This was for a 1 BR, and I'm trying to figure out, did everything go that quickly? Guess it's a good thing I wasn't as calm as her, and continued to call day by day!

I only needed a one-bedroom, but I called today for Thanksgiving week at OKW and got it. No problem. Like I said, it was a one-bedroom though.

Got my reservations for SSR for Thanksgiving week, but not what I wanted. We're in a 2-bedroom and a studio. When I called at 7 month window looking for GV anywhere, nothing was available for the entire week at one place, and most places were booked for the immediate nights around Thanksgiving Day. So we went with SSR to avoid having to pack up and move in the middle of the week.

I just cancelled a 2-BR at OKW (changed to a 1-BR).....i was told there were plenty of 1 BR, but no more 2BR for that week anywhere.......my guess is that lots of people's plans change....i bet that week will come through for you this far out!
