Wait, weren't you just at Disney World? An August '14 Pre-Trip Report *updated 8/24*

Congrats!!!! :)

Thanks Leah!

9 days went by already?! Congratulations! For some reason my iPhone app hates Dis pictures so I will have to hop on over to the old laptop for all of the baby pics! But I was able to see the hospital shot of the three of you- adorable. Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

I know - in some ways the last few weeks took forever and in other ways it went by really fast and, bang, she's here!

Thanks - I wasn't expecting the nurse to volunteer to take photos so it was a nice surprise ... hmm, maybe that is an unadvertised benefit of purchasing memory maker ;)

What a great update :) Emma is beautiful!! Congratulations!! I'm glad all went well and everyone is doing good. Lovely picture of Mom and her 3 kids :goodvibes

Congratulations! What a beautiful baby and a beautiful family you have!

I may be a little off on how old Olivia is, but I think she's close to the age my oldest was when she became a big sister - Peyton was 5 and a half when Charlotte came along. For Peyton, she was completely fascinated with Charlotte for the first week or so. Then the new wore off - she still loved her and was very interested in her but wasn't constantly asking to hold her. Now that they are 8 and 2.5 they are definitely starting the love/hate sister relationship - most of which stems from the fact that Charlotte is strong willed and in her "I can do it myself" phase and Peyton thinks that she is actually Charlotte's mom instead of her sister. :confused3 At the end of the day, they love each other more than anything and I feel so blessed to be raising sisters. I'm sure you and Judi will feel the same way (most days), plus you have the adding blessing of a brother for your girls!

Congratulations! Baby Emma is absolutely beautiful!

I saw your signature on some other trip-reports and the DD (1 hour) intrigued me so I had to come check it out!

Thanks - she's definitely a proud mama

Congratulations! She's beautiful!

Thank you Shannon!

aw, that's a sweet story and glad to see the love shines through. I definitely think there is part of Olivia that expects to help take care of Emma (not be the mom, but definitely a mothers helper) and I am sure at some point she will be - but probably not as early as she would like

And we can already see some jealousy in Peter in their first visit as he was rather insistent that he got to sit next to mom and stuff - at least he didn't seem to take any of it out on Emma and seemed fond of her. So far so good there.

Thanks for joining and posting! Probably due need to update the signature a little - as she is a full day old now ;)

I know I said this on FB already, but Congratulations! Another Disney baby! :cool1: She's adorable and so glad that everything went smoothly for both Emma and Judi.

Love the car seat photo too! My goodness you guys got those in there pretty good.

So did you say that you guys had to watch a shaking video before?! What the heck?

Thanks Alicia! So far so good ... though Emma has been sleeping a ton of late (I know, I know, I knocked on wood like 30 times after saying it) almost too much so might have wake her up soon - and just feel so mean waking her.

The car seats was like Judi's project of the month as she went to Buy Buy Baby and brought out floor models to test which ones would fit and how to arrange them, etc. ... but we taught them to fit!

Yeah, so when we had Olivia they made us watch this video showing the dangers of shaking a baby - and Judi was like a hormonal crying mess after watching it. So fortunately no video this time. We do still have to fill out this huge list of questions where we have to go through all this reading material covering the basics of taking care of a baby, etc. I want to just "THIS IS OUR THRID KID" over the whole thing, but not sure that flies.

Congrats on the beautiful new addition!!!

Thank you!

Ok! I could have sworn I came by to send my congratulations but I don't see it... :(((

Anyways- congratulations all around! What a sweet little blessing the 3rd child must be! And being born into a Disney family, even better.

We had to watch the shaking baby video twice too! It's nuts to normal people but I guess it happens. :(

Congratulations on your new addition to the family! I'll be in the world the same week as you. Starting off at Port Orleans Riverside (Royal Room) and heading over to Bay Lake Towers on the 29th (seems like we have similar tastes). Really excited for the next 30 days to fly by!

Thank you so much! We definitely do feel blessed! We had some fertility issues especially prior to Olivia so to go from that point to now having three kids we really do feel fortunate

I totally get why they need the video and it is worth it if it saves even one child - but how much it was forced on us, knowing about the issues of it, etc., just was not a happy time

Welcome and thank you!. That is funny that I just switched b/w the resorts you are splitting time with (basically) . Yeah, I am sure they will feel like it is taking a while, though we definitely have something new to distract us a bit :rotfl:

Pre Trip Report: Part 28 - The Other One with Baby Emma

Ok, since Emma continues to be cute I thought I would post another update ...

But first, after Judi's parents and the kids visited last night I took them all out to The Burger Barn and got, well, a burger. It was their special of the day which had onion rings, bacon, and cheese sauce on it - and was on a pretzel roll - yeah, I pretty much devoured it.

and I had with it a Kim Hibiscus Sour Lagrrr from SingleCut Beersmiths. It was so good (if you like sour beers) - very refreshing and easy to drink. Also low in alchohol so perfect for summer days as you can have few ;)

(see, I told you I would get some dining reviews in :goodvibes )

Ok, ok, here are some more pictures of Emma from today:

She has spent a lot of time sleeping ... pretty much that or nursing. Really, she's been such a good baby so far. However, she does have quite the screech when she lets one out - figure she knows she is the 3rd kid and will have to make sure she can get our attention :rotfl:

Some times she is calm with her eyes open though:

Judi and Emma are set to be discharged tomorrow so as this is our last evening the hospital has a tradition where they provide the new parents with a nice dinner - they call it the Stork Club Dinner.

I had the steak with a peppercorn sauce (which was actually pretty good, if done too well) and Judi had scallops with an orange sauce (which she said were good - but the sauce could have been more orangey). I had the strawberry cream cake and Judi had the chocolate cake which were both quite good. Overall quite please with the meal (other than the fact they brought it pretty early - about 10 minutes before 5pm) ... though honestly was expecting more for a meal we made an ADR for 9 months in advance ;)

Will definitely do another update tomorrow as we take Emma home - you all will lover her "going home" outfit.

Overall just feeling really blessed.

TTFN

Oh my gracious! She really is just perfect! I hear you on the fertility issues! I had to take clomid with my 2nd & we have been trying for a year so far this time with no luck!

Haha- ADR 9 months prior- I love it!! How lucky are y'all- the stork dinner, that's great! Our hospital dinners blow.

Can't wait to see the bringing home outfit.

Wow, that burger sounds really tasty!

Emma is just precious! And I think she already has as much hair as Izzy does! :rotfl: Super cute!

That is really neat that the hospital does the fancy meal! We didn't have anything like that. :confused3

So happy for your family - when you say how you are feeling blessed, it brings me back to our drive home from the hospital with Izzy - we listened to Wishes and were both in tears that our little wish had come true! :lovestruc

Wow...that burger looks great.

Okay, princess: Emma is just getting more beautiful each day. Yes, being the youngest she is going to need to be heard!

How nice of the hospital to do that for you. I've never heard of that before. :thumbsup2
