You'd have to walk across the I4 which would definitely not be a good idea.

Thanks for the reply I wasnt sure how near we were , we have got a hire car for our trip in April so we wont chance the I4 !!

You will generally find a car is essential for driving to most places.

Its a bit too far to walk - you would have to go up the 535 towards the crossroads and along hotel plaza blvd, no pavements etc. However if the lights arent against you its only a 5 min drive. On a Saturday evening it would be a 15 min drive with another 15 mins to find a parking space!.
We own at Vistana and go back in a fortnight for our 10th anniversary visit, if you need to know any more about Vistana just shout.

Thanks for your help this will be our second trip to Vistana, we find it an excellent location very central to everything. Do you know anything about the Diamond Line at the Vistana is it a quick check point ?

We used the Diamond Line last trip.......well, I put everything through on it, but when we got there, there was only 2 other people checking in so the Diamond Line was closed. They did however know our requests in advance though, which was handy....like requesting one of the newer units rather than the ones everyone complains about (see tripadvisor)....It seems theres no real way to guarantee you'll get in a new unit like Cascades, its just luck...and for that reason, despite absolutely loving it there, we wont be going back.

Hi we have a timeshare in the Vistana and think its great, we stay in the cascades and its wonderfull, i strongly suggest asking in advance if you would like to stay in the cascades!

I really hope you can get in Cascades, or the next newer one that I cant remember the name of. Its an absolutely brilliant place to stay, loads of facilities and a perfect central location. I found the staff to be very friendly, but I will say that if your not interested in buying a timeshare there, just ignore the phone as they will keep trying to get you to go to their meeting, or at least they did with us.
The picture below is from the cascades pool, which as with everything else there, is excellent.

If you hire a taxi from the Vistana Resort it shouldn't cost more than 10.00 to get you to PI.
