Visions of Turkey Legs are Dancing in My Head - Christmas at the World

Great reviews!! Thanks for sharing. I love all the desserts you had and I really need to convince my husband to get back to Raglan Road. I think we were having an off night ourselves the day we went. I'm sure it was amazing but it's just a blur to me. :goodvibes

Thanks for posting your reviews. And that pic of Bono. :rotfl2:

I'm with you on the DP. I wish they included appetizers instead of dessert but your idea is even better - give the choice. It gives more flexibility which is why for this trip we decided to pay OOP for meals. I like dessert as much as the next gal but I also like appetizers. And sometimes I'd rather order an app as my meal, or split a couple things with DH, etc.

I didn't notice your Biergarten review. How did you like it? We're going in April so I'm interested in hearing your thoughts.

Happy New Year!!

Loved your reviews! I'm right there with you on the love for the scallop forest at Raglan Road!

All those sweets from pofq look so good!

Fried scallops are one of my favorite things. Do and I have been debating where to go in Dtd during our next trip, and I think it just might be raglan road!

Enjoyed the reviews. Thanks for posting! :)

Hi Ursalita
LOVE your profile pic, btw... My DD Maddie has given me a new appreciation for Oswald.

BIERGARTEN REVIEW:
Pictures were an issue here for me. It was so dark where we were sitting that the one picture I tried to take at the table blinded everyone around me. I'm not photo-savvy at all, and was using my smartphone to take pics, so I just said Screw It, drank my gigantic beer, and stuffed as many German sausages down my throat as possible.

We got there about 15 minutes before our ressie, and still waited past that. The pavillion was packed. We got seated with a family with 3 kids under the age of 5, which was fine, it's Disneyworld, we expect children. Unfortunately, once the family got all spread out with all their stuff, the dad ended up standing to eat and the mom got so stressed out she ended up leaving with the two youngest. His response - "I'll meet you outside in about 2 hours. "

That quote probably best describes the Biergarten. It's a good party atmosphere, and if we hadn't had our DD with us and the Candlelight Processional to go to, DH and I would have gladly stuck around and PROST!!! for about as long as they would have let us.

The only downside was feeling like the mom of the other family was stressed out because we were sitting with them. I really hope we weren't giving off a negative vibe. We just smiled and kept to ourselves, so nice lady, if somehow you're reading this, please know that in no way were your children misbehaving or we were upset about the seating situation. I also get it - when my kid was younger that would have stressed me out as well and I probably would have done the same thing and left.

We will go back to the Biergarten. It's worth it. Food was great, bier is great, atmosphere is lots of fun.

Hi Mindylee847!
We were at Raglan Road for Brunch. It wasn't packed, even though Downtown Disney itself was ridiculously packed for 10:30 on a Sunday morning. I do have to say, if I had to pay out of pocket, I probably would not have dined here, simply because of the cost. It's expensive! Especially if you're not getting live entertainment while you're there. However, I would pay $15 for 6 scallops again. We did have to pay for those out of pocket as the dining plan didn't include appetizers. This is also a place where I wish I had really studied the menu prior to going and made a better decision. Why in God's name I ordered a Chicken sandwich at Raglan Road is beyond me. LOL It was probably the best chicken sandwich I've ever had, but still...
