I didn't notice your Biergarten review. How did you like it? We're going in April so I'm interested in hearing your thoughts.
Hi Ursalita
LOVE your profile pic, btw... My DD Maddie has given me a new appreciation for Oswald.
BIERGARTEN REVIEW:
Pictures were an issue here for me. It was so dark where we were sitting that the one picture I tried to take at the table blinded everyone around me. I'm not photo-savvy at all, and was using my smartphone to take pics, so I just said Screw It, drank my gigantic beer, and stuffed as many German sausages down my throat as possible.
We got there about 15 minutes before our ressie, and still waited past that. The pavillion was packed. We got seated with a family with 3 kids under the age of 5, which was fine, it's Disneyworld, we expect children. Unfortunately, once the family got all spread out with all their stuff, the dad ended up standing to eat and the mom got so stressed out she ended up leaving with the two youngest. His response - "I'll meet you outside in about 2 hours. "
That quote probably best describes the Biergarten. It's a good party atmosphere, and if we hadn't had our DD with us and the Candlelight Processional to go to, DH and I would have gladly stuck around and PROST!!! for about as long as they would have let us.
The only downside was feeling like the mom of the other family was stressed out because we were sitting with them. I really hope we weren't giving off a negative vibe. We just smiled and kept to ourselves, so nice lady, if somehow you're reading this, please know that in no way were your children misbehaving or we were upset about the seating situation. I also get it - when my kid was younger that would have stressed me out as well and I probably would have done the same thing and left.
We will go back to the Biergarten. It's worth it. Food was great, bier is great, atmosphere is lots of fun.
