Hiya

ok so I just called to try book the seat for baby for next year

got the virgin call center in India, and after 30 mins trying to explain what I want got hung up on, because she couldn't understand me! yes I do have a Yorkshire accent but it isn't a very strong one.

She couldn't even understand my address!

so got no where

is there any way of contacting the UK call center?

thanks anna

i would try going through as a new reservation, they tend to be in the uk

When you ring, someone in the UK should answer and ask where to direct your call, you can ask at this point to be put through to UK call centre as India do not understand you, I did this a few months ago and it worked :goodvibes

Ive had this happen to me, its very frustrating! Good Luck:thumbsup2

I found last year that ringing at 9 a.m. worked a treat  You have my sympathies with the staff at the Indian call centre having no clue.
They have never known what services they are supposed to be offering their customers or how to use the computers etc in their office. I got cut off so many times it really was ridiculous and each time they said something had been done on the computer they completely fluffed it up:headache: . They need to shut it down and only use UK call centre staff who can be clearly understood and take the time to do the job correctly then people will use their services more.

Good luck. I tried to book via their call centre for 3 UC flights and they quoted me £300 more per person than what I could see on the screen. I gave up and rang the next morning and got the CORRECT price. They are really useless, but Virgin are saving money so what do they care.

an advantage of using the India call centre- he priced my car upgrade wrong- so I got a luxury upgrade for the price of an intermediate one. :)

When I really need someone I ask to be put through to the UK centre- it just winds me up how they're obviously reading off a script in India.. I've never had a good experience through there.

Not quite on topic, but we rang Thomas Cook to try and sort out our Virgin seats for next easter and were told that we cannot book them until August...

Empathies.......I posted yesterday about a very frustrating experience with continued conflicting advice with thier indian call centre. will try again today to see if I can get relaible advice

Have you noticed when it comes to paying off your balance you always get the UK call centre :rotfl2: Do you think its because they want your money!!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

tell them you want to speak to someone who speaks welsh, they'll put you thru to the uk ;) :goodvibes

They also made a error with my booking and I ended up getting a free child place added when I shouldn't have! :thumbsup2

They definitely don't know the in's and outs of Virgin's T&Cs.

Hope you get through to somebody in the Uk and get it sorted.
