We will be at Star Wars Weekend on 5/17. From your own experiences...

Where is the best places to view the Legends of the Force motorcade parade, and when do you need to arrive there to get a spot?

Where is the best places to view Symphony in the Stars fireworks, and when do you need to arrive there to get a spot?

To answer your question though...

The parade is dreadfully hot. If you are looking at the hat from the entrance, the left side of the street is MUCH more desirable due to the shade that the buildings provide. However, most of the front row of the left side of the street is gone an hour in advance. So, if you want to stand in the shade or close to the street and not 2 or 3 bodies behind, need to get there early!

Julie, thanks for the link. I did check some of it out. I guess searching 101 pages (and growing) for a specific answer is a little daunting. Would be awesome if individual topics could have their own threads.

The fireworks are shot off behind the Hat. So, anywhere on Hollywood Blvd. or near Echo Lake will give you a clear view.

Most of the important stuff is always updated on the first pages of the SWW thread. If not you can search the thread or just ask. They are great at helping out.

Just know that the shaded area for the parade near the hat is now reserved for Feel the Force ticket holders.
