Very Personal Question

I was 32 and 34 when I was pregnant with my sons. I did have some problems with the latter pregnancy but still gave birth to a healthy boy.

Good luck to you, Beauty and your DH.:D

Good luck to you Beth. You are certainly not to old to try to have another child. I was 35 when my youngest was born, and there is a 9 year age difference between her and my middle child. I had had my tubes tied, but was not a candidate for a tubal reversal, so we did invitro and got lucky.....worked on the first try. I was nervous and worried about going through all of it, but it was worth every bit of worry, discomfort and expense.

If you definately want a baby Beauty, then I say that it is definately worth looking into the reversal.

I'm just finishing up a pregnancy at the "old old" age of 35 and I can't say that it has been any more difficult. I definately feel more prepared and confident about being able to raise and care for a baby than I was 12 years ago.

Go for it!! And best of luck to you!! :)

Good Luck, I had my girls a little late, 33 for #1 and 36 for #2 but really wasn't ready for kids before then.

Have you also considered adoption? I know that can be a personal preference too but just thinking that since you may have some problems to overcome it could be an answer. Also an older child might fit into your household better and they are usually more available. It's also a way to know gender :)

I don't have any experience with that, just good wishes. My MIL had her tubes reversed and then had children at 37, 38, and 41. Each of her pregnancies and deliveries were completely uneventful.

I did have the amnio with my last 2, it was quick and painless and gave me piece of mind.
Glad everything went okay for you! When I was pregnant I knew of 2 people that had amnios. One was okay, the other lost the baby. I told the doc that based on "real" people I know, that was a 50/50 shot and not one I was willing to take.

Beth, I wish you both the best of luck. I don't know anything about it though.

Go for it! My Mom had me when she was 42, and I turned out much better than the other 5 kids. I was 33 with my last baby and it didn't feel any different than the other pregnacies. They each had good and not so good qualities.

There is no reason that a large difference in ages between your kids has to be bad. My oldest brother is 20 years my senior and we have become very close.

All of the changes in how childbirth is handled in hospitals will make for a great birth experience. After 2 not so wonderful births, the last one was a real pleasure.

Good luck!
