We we're thinking of going to Vero in Oct. (since I lost my 5 day hopper passes) - can someone tell me for 10 pts. is the studio or inn room ocean view a better choice? I've never stayed there & of course I haven't called to see if there is availability. Thanks

Can't tell you about the non-Inn studios, but we stayed in a studio with an Ocean view in Feb.

It was a wonderful room. It was on the 4th floor and had a great view of the ocean.

The only rooms at VB that guarantee an Ocean view will be in the Inn. This is due to the height of the dune in front of the beach. The rooms in the outer buildings may or may not have Ocean views depending on location and floor your on.

We were very happy with the room in the Inn and I would recommend it was worth the point difference.

The studio that we stayed in was huge!!!!!

It featured a King-sized bed and had room for a couch and easy chair (non-reclining), along with the table for dining and the normal studio kitchen.

If you want an ocean view, get the ocean view inn room. Studio's may or may not have much if any, ocean view. If you want a bed and a fold-out couch, get the studio.

Request a 4th floor Inn room.Great view, beautifull large room. I look at it this way: I go to the ocean to see the ocean. VB is the only resort I'll splurge for the view.

Ditto on the high floor Inn Room. Huge, comfortable & cheaper.

Quick question -- are there one and two bedroom units in the Inn or just studio and "inn" rooms? Thanks

The only rooms in the Inn are "Inn" rooms. Studios, 1BR and 2BR units are all located in stand-alone buildings on the property. Beach Cottages (3BR units) are also in their own individual structures.

The view from the fourth floor inn room was one of the most spectacular things I have ever seen. I wouldn't stay anywhere else at Vero. Amazing!

There is a brushy treed area that protects the beach from erosion that also blocks the view from the other buildings. You will not see the ocean/beach from a studio in one of the other buildings. The trees block the view.

Is an "Inn" room like a regular hotel room-no coffee maker, microwave,etc- or is it a room called that becasue it's within the main structure of the main building? We're booked into an Inn room for July 14-16.

You still have the kitchenette in the Inn rooms, they are just laid out a little differently than the Studios - 2 beds vs. 1 bed and a pullout sofa.

I have stayed in a garden view INN Room at the left front corner as you face the ocean. It had 2 Queen beds and a small porch.
It sounds like the 4th floor Inn Room with a King bed and couch are larger according to Caverhill's post here. Has anyone tried both of these style rooms? How do they compare? Do the ocean view Inn Room's on the 4th floor always have a King bed? How do you know what you are getting?

Forgot to say that the second Inn room I stayed in was the largest "hotel room" I have ever stayed in. It actually looked sparse, because the room was so big compared to the furniture that was in the room.

Thanks for the great info. We are hoping to go to VB for a few days next June and I was wondering if we needed an ocean view. Now I know that I want it--it sounds fabulous!

We've stayed at Vero 4 or 5 times, now, staying in an Ocean View Inn Room each time - upper floor. (We were just there last weekend - wish we still were....)

We've always had two queen beds in our room.

To my knowledge, there are no king-sized beds in any inn room/studio accomodations - at any of the DVC resorts.

If someone knows of a specific room number with a king-sized bed, could you please pass it on? I'd love to request it in the future!! :)

Just ask for an ocean view inn room with a king size bed. As far as I've seen, only some of the Inn rooms at Vero have the king size bed option.

I believe we had room 4032, but my memory may be bad. I don't know if I even have the room number recorded. I suppose I should try and remember from now on.

Our room had a King bed. I am not sure how many rooms feature a King, but there was no doubt about it. It also had a sleeper couch, but we didn't use it.

Thanks for the info - I didn't realize there were any rooms that differed from the layout in our guidebooks.

Question for you. When you get off the elevators - do you take a left then another quick left to go to these rooms, or do you walk straight ahead, past the railing looking over the lobby, and on to the other side?

Just curious. My DH and I noticed that we have always walked straight once leaving the elevators - so that our room has always been somewhere over or near Shutters.

Maybe these rooms are on the other side of the Green Cabin room from where we've stayed?!?

Our room was located directly on the other side of the main building from the elevators. It wasn't in either of the wings. We were in the very corner room.

If you looked at the floor plan in the room on the back of the door, you would notice that some of the rooms are configurated differently due to the building design.

They could have almost had two rooms out of our studio...not that I am complaining:).
