Vero availability in Summer at 7 months?

Does anyone know if it is becoming more difficult to book a 2 bedroom in the summer, particularly late June, for Vero? We are looking to go summer 2011 for a few days after WDW. We are considering an add on but can't make up our minds whether to add on at Vero (we would go every January or May in an ocean view room and at Summer every other year in a two bedroom) or just to add on at BWV (same time frame). Any thoughts or experience with this?

In both 2008 and 2009 I had the opportunity to book a 2 bedroom if I wanted to at 4 months out. I wouldn't wait that long as a suggestion, but just saying it's possible to get a 2 bedroom that close out from time to time. I highly suggest jumping at the 7 month window though. One time I inquired it was for August 2008 and it was for May 2009----both times there was availability at less than 7 months out. Good luck ! VB is great !

Thanks for replying. We haven't had a problem getting an ocean view inn room the last two years in January. This was less than 7 months both times. I was just surprised to see in the availability forums for June and July of 2010 that there was no availability for most of the last week in June into July for a 2 bedroom!!

We love Vero and look forward to our adult-only getaways each January. Even with the cold temps this year we still had a great time...

I got a 2 bedroom at the seven month mark for the end of June this year with no problem, ditto for June of 2009 as well.

I don't know about a 2 bedroom, but I have booked an OVI studio the last three years in a row at the 7 month mark. It was for August though!

Monday, we tried to get a 2 BDR for Vero for June 20th to the 25th. There was nothing available.

I was able to get a dedicated two bedroom for July 23-31.
We were waitlisted for a BC but since took myself off since we decided to use the extra points towards a cruise for 2011.
I called exactly at 9 am at the 7 month mark.
I was doing a lot of reading prior to calling and it seems that June may be harder to get than July or August but that is pure guessing on my part.

I tried to get a 2br several different dates in July 2010. I finally got a 2br lockoff for July 30-Aug 4th calling at 9am at 7 month mark. There are only 36 2br so with increasing membership, the 2br will become harder to get.

I originally booked from July 23-30 and wanted the extra night so had to call back the following day for July 31 and got it.
BUT, I wonder if my having to call on December 23 and December 24 had anything to do with my getting availability. Maybe people were running around and busy for Christmas. That was my No. 1 thing to do on December 23 and at 9:00 am I stopped all my work (at work ) and made that phone call.
I'm glad you were able to get a lock off. Do you have a dedicated 2 bedroom on waitlist?

Thanks for all the replies. There are enough "ifs" to persuade us to do an add on at Vero. We plan to go to Vero more often than BWV so this makes the most sense. Not too crazy about those MFs but that ocean view and the great drinks in the Green Cabin more than make up for them!
