Are the verandas in the very aft of the ship larger than the standard veranda. All the deck plans that I look at make you think that they are bigger, especially the ones on deck 6.

Yes, they are, but to varying degrees. My favorite, 5650, was large enough to put one of the lounger chairs (the ones they have poolside) out on the verandah, along with one of the smaller chairs. I have some photos that might be helpful on my website at www.castawayclub.com
The larger verandahs are one of the reasons I love being aft...the other big reason is that there is little or no hallway noise.

how did you get the lounge chair out there or do the larger verandas come with them.
Also, what stateroom has the largest "regular" veranda?

The CAT 1, 2 and 3 i would guess have the largest verandah. We were in a CAT 4, and i personally thought the verandah very small. On another cruise line, i have actually slept a few nights out on the verandah, and had the best nights of sleep i have ever had...

We had an aft cat 3 (8100)...huge verandah. The one's aft are big due to the curve of the ship. And, for the same reason, ours seemed deaper, as well. But, and this is a presonal preference thing, ours had metal walls. Except for the view from the inside, it wasn't a big issue. Solution...stay out on the verandah!
