VDH Opening

I’m hoping to still care about the parks in my 70s. However, not sure if I will make it to 100 for the expiration. Our son still likes the parks at 17, so hopefully, he won’t mind having it for a little while.
We most definitely won’t make it to the VDH expiration - we’re just hoping to make it to the BWV expiration, so we can finally know the answer to the question “How are they going to do it?”!

We should make it to that, hopefully. I’m curious too. We just bought our resale there in summer 2020.

Don’t you think parking will be part of the plan? Also, I could be wrong, but I believe the Mickey and Friends structure will remain.
Mickey and Friends was going to be my backup plan if parking wasn’t included for VDH. I’ve heard they’ll let you leave your car overnight if you’re too drunk to drive or whatnot so I could technically hit Trader Sam’s every night when at VDH 😅 luckily I don’t have to worry about this for now.

Sounds like a good plan anyway:thumbsup2

Damn. You got me.
I've seen so many amazing photos of people who have deep emotional connections to Disneyland hotel posting cool things about how it's where they held their weddings and such and now they own a spot there. I had already given up, saying owning at the OG mouse house/the design, etc. was enough to make me buy. But I'm happier each day and I'll just "eat" the tax.
Can I put that banner on my signature since I have direct points and can technically book there at 7 months? 🤣
This is a judgement free zone :)

But if it helps, I do plan on trying to play around in Photoshop this PM and build a banner that is in alignment with the square ones that you and @UrsulaWantsYourSoul have in your signatures. I also need to fix the one I built as I noticed the others that were made are just a bit taller with a larger black banner at the top. I'm no guru, so don't expect amazing results. But should be a stopgap until a pro makes better ones. I'll post them in the banner thread and here.

I would hope so. But the 'plans' on the Disneyland Forward site don't show any nearby parking for the Grand Californian. Maybe we're the minority but we don't like using valet parking. I guess we may have to if they build things out like that plan someday.

Is there any email address or anything to ask questions/voice concerns about Disneyland Forward? Because I would really like to know where hotel guests are going to park if this ever happens.

It appears that the special parking easement thst was part of the VGC contract allows DVD to change where the parking happens.

The POS is more of a summary so owners Probcbly need to contact DVD to get more info.

I thought I saw a "possible new parking" on Disney Way when I zoomed in a bit to read it all.

Speaking from experience, yes, you can still care about the parks in your 70s. Preferences change and you will find new sources of magic. Currently my favorite ride is morning coffee in the VGC lobby. :coffee:

My mom is in her 80s (85 in September), and she still loves the parks and going to Disney. She has her Magic Key for Disneyland and is looking forward to Disney World again this September (right after her birthday). Yes, it is different now with a wheelchair or scooter, but she is always welcome to come as long as she wants too. And she still loves a lot of rides like Space Mountain, Racers, Webslingers, Rise of the Resistance. I am hoping to be the same when I am that age!

Can you help me with how to put the banners in my signature? I am not sure how to do so.
