We have 2 value rooms at All Star Movies booked for 10 nights in January. I'm planning on ordering some quick breakfast items and I have a question about the size of the refrigerators in the room. I'd like to order some milk. What size milk will fit in the refrigerator? Also, is there a freezer? I'd like to freeze some ice packs to keep my DS's insulin cool in the parks during the day. He has type 1 diabetes and requires daily insulin injections. Thanks for the help!
I have Type-1 diabetes, and I am currently on WDW property. I store none of my insulin pens in the fridge: the spare ones are at room temperature, which is far from Florida heat thanks to A/C. I only bring to the parks the pen that I use at the moment, and store it in my backpack with no protection whatsoever (no ice, no anything, just somewhere in the bag).
So far, my insulin works as usual. Insulin degrades very slowly at room temperatures. When I'm home, I store my insulin in the fridge, and one outside on my toilet bag. When I need a new pen, I use the one from my toilet bag, and replace it with one from the fridge. That way, I never travel without a spare and new insulin replacement; this also implies that all my pens stay outside the fridge 2x their duration.
As far as I am concerned, I would never use ice as it will alter the insulin, I would not use the fridge in-room, because I would be afraid of freezing it, and I would never ask Bell services because I am not willing to trust anyone about protecting my life (call me crazy, but I don't want my insulin being inadvertently swapped with someone else having AIDS or I don't know).
YMMV, and I'm not a physicist. Feel free to send me a message if you have more questions.
