Tonight, Ariane made dining reservations for our group of 6 at Jaleo. We enjoyed it so much back in September that we were all itching to get back...We waited a bit for a bus and good thing the bus stops at CSR are covered because it was pouring. Eventually, a bus showed up and by the time we got to DS, the rain had stopped. Yay!
We had a little time before our table was ready so we popped over to Splitsville for a couple of cocktails. At this point, I have no idea what everyone ordered but I think we all enjoyed our beverages. Some of us may have ordered more than one.
We were able to get a table outside and there was an awesome band playing, so we all hung out, reminisced about our dirty pasts (teenage antics), and concerts we enjoyed as kids, lol! Yes, most of us loved and still love Kiss, Motley Crue, Def Leppard, and Alice Cooper.
After our cocktails, we walked over to the restaurant and were seated out on the back patio in what felt like a private dining experience, which was fantastic. The plates are served tapas-style here, not knowing what item will come out when. The sangria, however, comes out in a pitcher (in our case 2 of them). We all enjoyed our shared meals and the drinks were flowing, which in our case is always a good thing. We talked and laughed so much. I remember some of the conversations revolved around the 3 little Pigs and phone sex...Don't ask...I don't know how we got there and don't remember much about those conversations at this point, lol!
It was such a good night. We laughed, ate, drank a lot, and had lots of great conversations. But, this wouldn't be our last meal together...
I also didn't manage to get any food pica but took lots of drink pics, lol!
Next up...Joe and I have breakfast at an old favorite...
