?? Using Pricline for Airfare/does it work??

I was woundering if its a good thing to use Priceline for AirFare. DH & I are going to Gd Bahamas(NO KIDS!!!). I the prices are high. We thought we would try pricline. Has anyone tried this. PLEASE let me know. Thank you.
