Fireworks cruises

Hello...I have some questions if anyone would indulge me:

The fireworks cruises are priced "starting at $449". Is that total for the boat or per person?

Also, for the Epcot one- is the view actually any good or are you a million miles away?

Thanks!!!

My wife did this with her close friends, celebrating her birthday, last fall for the WDW fireworks.

1) $449 is for the boat
2) They got a tour of the Seven Seas Lagoon for about 30-45 minutes before settling it for a centerline castle view of the fireworks.
3) She loved it, and said it well worth the cost. It includes sodas and whatnot, but you can bring wine if you'd like.

Thanks Chuck! That's very helpful.

Since we would be doing Epcot, I'm wondering still about that view, but the money info is super helpful.

Just confirming that is the price for the boat, up to 10 people (I believe), and a captain for the trip. The views of Luminous are really good, a bit from the side, but absolutely nothing in front of your view - plus you get to sit down to enjoy the show!

I should have mentioned, the boats (5 pontoon boats make up the entire cruise - you'll get one of them!) park under the bridge going from Great Britain to France. Only water in front of you.

So, fun fact: turns out it's very difficult to book a fireworks cruise for July 3rd! :P

Oh yes! Those would have gone on sale at the 60 day mark and likely filled in a very few minutes. Does Epcot do a pre-July 4th fireworks display on July 3rd similar to the pre-NYE fireworks on Dec 30th? I'm guessing you needed to be ready to book the moment the Jul 3rd fireworks cruise went on sale a month ago.

Hope you're still able to find a great spot to enjoy the fireworks!

Well, this was just silly on my part- I'm not new! But sometimes I act like I am...

Yes- Epcot does their big Independence Day display on the third and MK on the 4th...which somehow, I miraculously managed to get a pre-party for.

Sorry - that wasn't part of your initial questions! But yes, they are difficult to get and you need to be calling right at 60 days most of the time. Second - that's especially true for a busy holiday period.

Something to keep in mind - it wouldn't hurt to call again 2-4 days out from your date. I would imagine there are some late cancellations some dates. I think folks need to cancel 48 hours in advance to get a refund, but I'd have to verify that. If you're still hoping to do it, it can't hurt to check again a couple days prior.....
