UPDATE!

At 3:05 PM the Orlando hotel called and said they found the purse. Money gone, ID and Passports were still in purse. Steph and Mariah were in Port Canaveral at 3:05. They HAVE to be on the ship by 4PM. An employee from the Orlando hotel met them half-way between Orl and PC and gave them the purse. Awesome. I just talked to Steph, they were 7 miles from the port. It is going to be close, but we may have them on the cruise.

I have to head to work and will post more later, but allow me to say that you all are simply amazing.

The good guys may win the day!

This is my first experience with the DIS boards, although Steph brags on you guys all the time. Now I know why!

DU - you guys are tops. Unbelievable.

Shirley - what can I say? I am speechless. To treat total strangers the way you did - amazing.

Thanks to all the rest of you. This a special cruise. When our daughters turn 16, they get a trip with Mom. Mariah is our oldest and Steph has been working on this birthday cruise for over a year.

Wow. Still overwhelmed.

Oh, and there was another passport belonging to someone else that was in the purse (money and CC gone). Hope to find the owner of that passport. Keep your documents close my friends.

All in all - what a day! We won't forget this one!

Steph and I were on the phone since she needed to find the right turn off, etc and needed a safe zone to make the right turn - she was at the DCL drop off when we quit speaking - IF and only IF she can find a minute, she will call and let me know how it all went. Norm and I heard the horns at 4PM so I am sure and without no doubt, they made it and all is well.

Steph definitely deserves a sail away drink! I am so glad I didn't see this thread until a few hours or I would have been checking in constantly.

So glad that there was a happy ending. I have had two recent experiences where a trip was cancelled at the very, very last minute and one where the trip was so close to be cancelled at the last minute and then everything worked out by the grace of God.

I am so happy that prayers were answered and some Disney magic happened.

Well done to all involved. I am also super impressed!
