Uppy, Uppy, Mr. Andy -- Update -- WRAP UP -- Post 1346, Page 90

i knew i liked your husband, he ordered a rueben...way to go :thumbsup2

i hope he got an extra side of the thousand island dressing to dip the sandwich in.
:goodvibes

Great update! Every time I see people's TR's start at the airport and they get food it makes me so jealous! Our airport doesn't have very many options for food. They have a couple little coffee shops and thats about all I've seen. Most of those places dont even open until we are pretty much getting on the plane because we always book the first flight out. ;) I can't wait to see more.

ugh. we shoulda asked you guys to meet up with us at DTD on the 23! glad your first day went so smooth though! we also find at hotels that claim free internet that we have a hard time connecting! super annoying!

OH MY. i AM SO BEHIND.
Oops caps locked.
I will be cathing up soonly! :yay:

Love the pictures of the airport too, it's always fun seeing new airports or different parts of one's I've already been in. :goodvibes This is actually one I've been in, a loooong time ago. Sad to say not one of my favorite airports to get around in, it's probably one of the best looking aiports (except for MCO-this is for obvious reasons ;) ) but not fun to get around in.

Can't wait to see the pics of you getting to AKL.

Page FIVE!!! :sad2: I am much too busy, I need to be able to have an entire day where all I do Is DIS and catch up on everyone! I am sorry your trip is ending, that
means ours is almost here! :scared1: I can't wait to read all about it sweet friend, I have loved the pics you have posted thus far! :goodvibes

ME TOOO!! I am SO behind on Dis it's not even funny!!

I'm in! I have heard wonderful things of you and your TR so I am happy to start one from the beginning! popcorn::

Glad you got off to a great start!!

/
Great start Kathy...you look so happy and excited, just beautiful! Mark looks completely calm and relaxed:lmao: I am so looking forward to this TR!:thumbsup2

Kathy you look great! Did you lose a bit of weight, you seem to have an extra sparkle!

Hi Kathy,

I'm here. :flower3:

It was so nice to see you and Mark again. That Bailey's milkshake thing was the bomb!:woohoo:

Mmm choc chip B&Js sure is the best! :cloud9:

I love how excited you look to be going to Disney World and how Mark is waiting patiently for the plane!

Eek at the airport charging $6.95 for Internet.

Love your intro. Kat! Such a great picture of Mark, he looks very professional.:thumbsup2 Somehow I can see the words "you're outta here!" with it.:confused3 ;) I love that pic of you and Cookie too, I remember it from your PTR. How is sweet little Cookie doing? Andy is definitely a cutie patootie! No wonder that street performer at Hollywood Studios draped herself all over him!

On to departure day! First off, Jen is right, you look fabulous! And thrilled to be heading to your happy place (which would be Disney AND Nickiland!). Ice cream is always, always a good idea. Always. I love choc. chip myself though DH thinks it's kind of boring. He likes all those exotic, fruity, weird flavors.:sad2: Your sandwich looked scrumptious too, though I do agree it's strange to have it on a hamburger bun. It should be on a croissant!

Ack! $6.95 for internet access? Yowza, that's expensive! I agree with whoever said it should at least have included a cup of coffee. Good grief!

Looks like a perfect start Kathy. Can't wait to read the next update.:cheer2:

Oh, and your chapter links look great!:thumbsup2 It makes it soooo easy to catch up if you fall behind. Though half the fun is all the chatter in between which usually consists of Marv's name being thrown around quite a bit! He really brings it on himself, doesn't he.:rolleyes1 Have a great day!:goodvibes

I finally got some time to check out your TR! It's so odd that O'hare doesn't have free internet. That would have driven me mad since we would never pay for it. lol

Can't wait to read more.

There's no better way to start a vacation than with smooth travels. I'm so looking forward to seeing your pictures of AKL.

Lisa, I do love smooth travel.

Yay! Great start!! :yay:

I have to comment - the one of you on the plane excited to be on your way... the guy walking past you in the aisle looks like he's from the Bush family! :rotfl: And also looks happy to be headed to Orlando. :lmao:

The picture of Mark heading to the gate on the people mover belt is really cool! :thumbsup2

Amy, I had to go back and see the pic you were talking about; you are right, he does look like a member of the Bush family.

I'm sure that he was lost while you were gone. "Where's that doggone "envelope" icon that Kathy showed me to click?"

Glenn, the man is 85 years old (soon to be 86) and I am amazed that he even uses his computer

I got one a couple of weeks ago when I traveled. It kind of tickled.

I've heard of a few people who have gotten them, and saw one when we were going through.

That's all the more excited you get for ice cream? I thought you'd be going

I had just had a kid run into me and almost spill the ice cream...I was counting to ten!

Looking forward to more!

Thanks, Glenn.

They could at least give you a coffee with that or something. Sheesh.

I agree!

"What kind of place charges $6.95 for wireless?"

At least it was cheaper than Disney.

Excuse me ma'am, please turn off all electronic devices until we've reached our cruising altitude. :rotfl2:

But it wasn't electronic. ;)

I read somewhere that La Quinta is Spanish for "Next to the Denny's". Is
that true? :confused3

That could be true...as there was a Denny's right down the road from it.

Joining in & subbing here too!

I'll come back to read!

Welcome Kelly. I'm thrilled to have you here.

Dining Reviews are responsible for more than one "falling off my diet wagon" incident. I left this TR, headed over to Brooke's and she was showing pictures of ice cream cookie sandwiches amongst other diet no no's!

Cannot wait to see the AKL part of your trip!

I went over to Brook's after you posted that and I about died when I saw those onion rings. :worship:

I can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip and whether Andy packed correctly!

Update hopefully coming soon.

i knew i liked your husband, he ordered a rueben...way to go :thumbsup2

i hope he got an extra side of the thousand island dressing to dip the sandwich in.
:goodvibes

Mark does love his reubens! I don't think he has ever gotten a side of thousand island dressing though.

They have a couple little coffee shops and thats about all I've seen. Thank you. What airport do you go out of? O'Hare has quite a few choices.

ugh. we shoulda asked you guys to meet up with us at DTD on the 23! glad your first day went so smooth though! we also find at hotels that claim free internet that we have a hard time connecting! super annoying!

Jenn, I wish you would have said something...we could have probably gotten there a little earlier if it would have worked iwth your schedule.

Here! :goodvibes I'm excited to hear about your trip!

I'm so glad you are here, Camille.

OH MY. i AM SO BEHIND.
Oops caps locked.
I will be cathing up soonly! :yay:

Jen, glad you made it.

Love the pictures of the airport too, it's always fun seeing new airports or different parts of one's I've already been in. :goodvibes This is actually one I've been in, a loooong time ago. O'Hare is huge and a pain sometimesm when you have to make connecting flights. Mark hates the Atlanta airport even more.

ME TOOO!! I am SO behind on Dis it's not even funny!!

I'm in! I have heard wonderful things of you and your TR so I am happy to start one from the beginning! popcorn::

Glad you got off to a great start!!

Welcome, and thank you for the kind words. I'm delighted you joined in.

Great start Kathy...you look so happy and excited, just beautiful! Mark looks completely calm and relaxed:lmao: I am so looking forward to this TR!:thumbsup2

Thanks, Queen. I was so excited...especially after all the crap that went on the Sunday before we left. :headache: Mark is always calm and relaxed...it drives me nuts sometimes.

Kathy you look great! Did you lose a bit of weight, you seem to have an extra sparkle!

Yes, there were a group of DISer's that did a diet together with prizes, and I did lose weight (unfortunately, I put some of it back on while eating at Disney and then Marco).

Hi Kathy,

I'm here. :flower3:

It was so nice to see you and Mark again. That Bailey's milkshake thing was the bomb!:woohoo:

Sophia, Mark and I were delighted to be with you and Joe again. Perhaps if our next trips are at the same time, we can spend more time together (perhaps a meal).

Mmm choc chip B&Js sure is the best! :cloud9:

I love how excited you look to be going to Disney World and how Mark is waiting patiently for the plane!

Eek at the airport charging $6.95 for Internet.

The ice cream was yummy and I was super excited.

How is sweet little Cookie doing? Andy is definitely a cutie patootie! No wonder that street performer at Hollywood Studios draped herself all over him!

He does look professional, doesn't he? I remember him posing for that so I could send it to Nick. Cookie is doing fine. So far, the growth has not returned and she is doing great. Andy is a cutie...if I do say so myself.

On to departure day! First off, Jen is right, you look fabulous! And thrilled to be heading to your happy place (which would be Disney AND Nickiland!). Ice cream is always, always a good idea. Thanks; I lost 27 pounds prior to the trip. I think you are right on and your DH is kind of weird. ;)

Ack! $6.95 for internet access? Yowza, that's expensive! I agree with whoever said it should at least have included a cup of coffee. Good grief!

Yes, a cup of coffee would have been nice.

Looks like a perfect start Kathy. Can't wait to read the next update.:cheer2:

Though half the fun is all the chatter in between which usually consists of Marv's name being thrown around quite a bit! He really brings it on himself, doesn't he.:rolleyes1 Have a great day!:goodvibes

Thanks, Molly. Thanks to Tim (and a little bit Marv), the links were created!

I finally got some time to check out your TR! It's so odd that O'hare doesn't have free internet. That would have driven me mad since we would never pay for it. lol

Can't wait to read more.

Shannon, welcome. I'm really not surprised about O'Hare--it is Chicago after all.

I agree Dan Reubens are the best!!!
All caught up , darn work getting in the way of Dissing !!!:rotfl2:

Hi, Rosie! Sorry work is still getting in the way of your DIS time.

I'm in! Vowing to do my best to actually keep up, for a change! ;)

Hi, norybell. I'm delighted to have you join us. And just pop in whenever you have the time.

YAY! You're almost there. Glad the flight down went so smoothly. :goodvibes

Getting closer to AKL. :goodvibes

How about we get this moving so that I can post some of my favorite pictures of the trip????

We woke up around 7:40 a.m. and showered, dressed and packed up the car with our carry-ons that we had our jammies, etc., in. We left about an hour later and drove to the Waffle House for some breakfast (we love Waffle House and try to hit it at least two or three times each trip since we have none anywhere near us).

From the Waffle House, we drove to the Orlando Premium Outlets.

We got there around 9:30 a.m.; unfortunately, they did not open until 10:00 so we just sat at one of the tables near the food court and people watched. Our only goal while here was to go to the Disney Outlet store. And it was a huge success. I was able to get two t-shirts, a sundress, a sweatshirt and a coloring book for $70!

We left there at 10:25 and headed to the Character Outlet Store where I got three t-shirts for three little boys, postcards and a magnet.

Mark said he was ready to drive to Hess to pick up water and snacks and drive to AKL and check-in. We realized that it was probably too early to get our villa, but we had our suits packed and ready so we could go swimming if the villa was not ready.

ArrivalDayandDay1029.jpg

On the way to AKL, we passed our "home away from home" and I had to take a picture:

Soon we were passing this:

And then seeing this:

ArrivalDayandDay1034.jpg

Before you know it, we were parked in the 30-minute parking and approaching this:

ArrivalDayandDay1035.jpg

While I was checking in, I had Mark take some pictures:

I wish I could remember the lovely CM's name who took care of us. She was from Munich, Germany, and absolutely charming. She gave me a rose from the desk and welcomed us home. :goodvibes She informed us that our one-bedroom villa was ready. It was only 11:30 a.m. and our villa was ready. I was beyond excited.

Mark took a picture of me outside the resort before we got back in the car to park in the underground garage and head to our villa:

Up next, our Villa and our view.
