Anyone else having this problem???

I had a $500 Disney gift card that was given to me
I purchased a couple Disney gift cards on shop disney over thanksgiving using various cash back websites
I combined the fund using on disneygiftcard.com Thursday of last week. $900 total

I also purchased 2 more gift cards on Shop Disney over Thanksgiving using various cash back sites. One for $300, and one for $50.
I combined those two into 1 card using disneygiftcard.com Thursday as well. $350 total

FRIDAY I called Costco travel to pay off my Disney Cruise. I gave BOTH gift card numbers and they BOTH will not go through. They asked me to call back Monday (today). I did and both are still not going through.

Here's the crazy part. Disney Cruise Line has confirmed that they SEE $900 on one and $350 on the other but when they try to process them it comes back as "not active".

I have called the number on the back of the Disney gift card and they see the funds and say both cards are active and ready to use! WTH!!!

DCL also tried processing one of the cards at a lesser amount. NO GO.

Sooooo..... my question is what do I do now? Is the hold up because I consolidated them down to 2 cards?

What a flipping MESS!!
I called DCL and they even got their finance department to WATCH as the gift card processing when through and said it 100% was getting shut down by DGC services. I called DGC services number on the back of the physical card I had AND IT'S A CALL CENTER! Ugh! They no nothing but how much is on the card, which they confirmed the amounts I thought were on the card were there. No Holds, No flags. "You should be able to use the cards no problem". I asked for a manager and was told there isn't one so I should talk to ShopDisney.com and they transferred me.

ShopDisney confirmed that I had purchased them and they should be valid and then said they had no idea what was going on, that the issue was with DCG services. SOOOOOO, I called DGC services back. Answered all the same questions and explained everything for a 3rd time in 30 mins only to be told that all they can do is give me an email address.

I emailed the address and the next day I got an email asking for the first 8 differs of the cards. I also added in all order numbers and explained everything in the email. The following day an awesome cast member called me the next day from CA. She said there are only 3 people that work DGC services and they shut down their number during COVID because a million people needed cards re-issued that had used them to pay for vacations etc. ANYWAY, she listened and checked the cards. Again like everyone else she said "The money is there and there are no flags or holds - so there is no reason you shouldn't be able to use these". So she said she would reach out the finances and get back to me. Another day goes by and I get a call. "We have done everything I can on my end. I have called DCL and we still can't get the money OFF the cards. I have ZERO clue why. My finance guys took it to their higher up finance guys. Still NO CLUE. So we are going to issue you NEW gift card numbers and transfer the money on our end."

So after like a week and thank goodness Disney Cruise Line & Costco travel worked with me to extend the pay in full date - I am happy to say the gift cards have FINALLY been added to the account! Cruise is PIF!

@Albort here's an example of what will may need to be done to get the cards activated since the main csr prob can't do anything.

That is so annoying and I am sure it was stressful too. Glad you got it straightened out.

USBank has a targeted offer. I found it on the app. Earn $10 when you use your card for a grocery purchase of $50 12/1/22-1/31/23. I had this on my cash+ card. Just a small banner under my activity.

Kroger did something stupid last night, get a load of this crap!

I had two stackable offers for purchase online & pickup in-store. My sub total was $112, with sale & digital coupons my total came to $56 SORRY, it was $64
I also had Amex offer, Send $50, Get $25 back.
So I'm thinking awesome deal until I get a call from CS Cindy Lou stating items in my cart are not available. I hopped in my car, filled my shopping cart with everything that was on the list and went to CS. I spoke directly to Cindy Lou who change her tone, she was actually offended that I challenged her AND refused to fulfill the order.

I wonder if it would work in a gc bought at Lowe’s?

Buying gc has always worked before. Lowes doesn't share level 3 data so amex doesn't know what you're buying. Just have to decide what to get. I'll finish Disney out with my 3 office depot offers and I'm set with target from last weekend. Probably some amazon and something else.

Shouldn't be too hard! Our Lowe's has a surprisingly good gift card selection, I think it's actually the best in town. And if all else fails Visa gift card, although that's a kinda desperate move as one would have to eat the activation fee.
