Updated 9/13 - Plans Change with a 4 year old! A June 13-19 Trip Report

We finally made it to Finding Nemo the Musical after a long hike to park our strollers. We got seated around the middle, but toward the back. Hannah enjoyed looking for Nemo floating though the bubbles while we waited for the show to start!

We all loved the show. Even Owen watched part of it before he fell asleep! It was amazing! Ben wondered if there was a CD because he liked the music. (Guess what..there was!)

After Nemo it was time for lunch. We decided on Flame Tree BBQ. We wound back and found a table and I started feeding Owen while Ben went to get our food. We watched several people feed the birds. I was surprised how forward the birds were. Hannah enjoyed watching them up close, but I told her not to feed them!

We did have to laugh, the birds would not eat the puffs that Owen had dropped. Not sure why! I had the chicken, Ben had the ribs, and Hannah had a hot dog. The chicken was good, Ben said the ribs were ok. The baked beans and corn bread left a lot to be desired!

We had a nice view of Expedition Everest from where we sat. Hannah was BEGGING to got on it. I kept telling her she wasn't tall enough, but I'm not sure she believed me. I thought I might have to take her over and let the CM tell her, but she didn't push it.

We saw this guy on our way out. Hannah asked if we could get on for a pet. I said NO!!! :rotfl: (When I student taught, the teacher had around 15 birds in the classroom, those things drove me nuts!!!)

Cute Finding Nemo pictures:goodvibes Such a fun show. Those birds at Flametree do look a bit agressive:scared: Looking forward to more

After lunch, we headed back to the room for a rest. Hannah would not fall asleep because she was too excited for her make over. I even tried laying down with her, but that didn't help! We decided to head to Downtown Disney early since no one was getting any rest anyway. We got Hannah changed into her Belle dress and away we went. We walked around some of the shops. We picked out a Mickey knome for Pawpaw's garden for Father's Day.

We stopped at the Lego Store for Ben to spend his gift card. He got 2 Star Wars key chains.

Then it was time to check in to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. We got a buzzer and walked around while we waited. Hannah picked out Princess Minnie ears to buy with her birthday money. Soon the buzzer went off and it was time for Hannah to be made into a princess. We picked the Fairy-tale princess hair style. I wasn't sure how Hannah would do because she hates to have her hair combed and has a fit everytime you find a tangle. I was amazed, she sat perfectly still and never made a peep while the Fairy Godmother In Training worked on her.

Hannah was so shy after her reveal. I couldn't believe how grown-up she looked with her hair pulled up. I was glad we did this! I would do it again in a heartbeat! We had a wonderful time and Hannah got lots of compliments as we walked around. The bus driver even made a special announcement about riding with a princess! She just beamed!

After Hannah's make-over, it was time for dinner. We didn't really have a plan. We thought about Fulton's...yummy crab legs, but it is quite pricey. We thought about T-Rex, but didn't think we could get in because we didn't make reservations, we figured it would be McDonald's or Earl of Sandwich, but we decided to check T-Rex anyway. The wait was only 10 minutes, so we waited.

We found out Owen does NOT like dinosaurs, or a least really BIG dinosaurs! Every time the dinosaurs would move (about every 15-20 minutes) he would cry, and claw his way out of the highchair and into my lap. I had huge marks on my neck by the end of the dinner. Ben
figures we will be paying for years of therapy because we tortured our poor kid with dinosaurs.

Hannah loved seeing all the dinosaurs and watching them. She was quite excited she got to pet a woolly mammoth.

Dinner was pretty good, although I don't remember what we had and I didn't write it down. I believe Ben said he would eat there again.

After we ate, we had to check out the gift shop and Hannah wanted to build a dinosaur. She picked out a pink dinosaur and named it Heart. We decided not to get one for Owen after his experience at dinner. We didn't think he would want the reminder! Ha!

Hannah was thrilled to build a dinosaur because I rarely let her make an animal when we go to Build a Bear at the mall. She also picked out a pair of pj's for Heart. Heart sleeps with her every night!

Hannah looks adorable:cutie: BBB is so perfect for little girls. It's one of those memories that really is magical:wizard: I'm glad she liked it so much:goodvibes Now only if you could get her to sit so nice when you're doing her hair. That would really be magic:rotfl:

Sadly, we spent very little time at Animal Kingdom this trip. It was too hard on my leg and too hard on Jill to go very long with both girls. We didn't even see Nemo, and that is unheard of for us! If we get to go in October, that will be in the top 3 things on our list.

Hannah makes a beautiful Princess! We have had bus drivers make announcements about princesses on board before, but one time we saw one get down on one knee and help a Princess on to the bus. Too cute!

It is amazing how a parent deals with fits when doing hair but they behave so good at BBB! She looks darling and it is something every little girl who dreams to be a princess should get to do once.

Thanks! She did enjoy it!

Yes it would! ;)

I hope you leg gets better! And I understand about not being able to go long with 2 kids! We didn't get to see Festival of the Lion King which I was hoping to see, because I figured Hannah would love it, but oh well...there's always next time.

It is amazing isn't it! I have being having Hannah sit in a chair in front of me while doing her hair and its a little better, but not like BBB! But I'll take what I can get!

I promise I'm going to get this finished! Real life got in the way and then school started and I haven't taken the time to update! So if I have any readers left, I will update soon!

You have readers. We'll wait.
Not too happy about that real life getting in the way of all our DIS fun, though.

Next we decided to have some Photopass pictures taken of Princess Hannah.

Meanwhile, it started POURING! We wondered around Arribas Brothers, TrenD, and settled on waiting in Team Mickey. We figured that was the safest place, away from breakable things! We were stuck for over an hour while it stormed. We watched the radar on Ben's phone. We figured if it had just been the adults we would have made a run for it, but that wouldn't work with 2 strollers!

Finally it let up enough to hurry to the bus stop. The bus was PACKED. We figured we would have to stand and I was holding Owen and trying to show Hannah how to hold on. Luckily, there were some nice people who let Hannah and I have a seat at the very back of the bus. Thank you nice people! Both kids fell asleep on the bus and we had a mom and her 2 kids blocked in. I was trying to hold Owen and wake up Hannah. She would not wake up. The nice mom said, just wait on your husband to come get her, we aren't in any hurry. So Ben when and sat up the strollers and came back to carry Hannah off the bus. Thank you nice mom! The people on this bus made my night. It was truly Disney Magic at work! I think we were asleep the moment our heads hit the pillow!

Well, most of us fell asleep anyway!

Adorable Photopass pictures:goodvibes  about the rain. I think I remember that storm. Luckily we barely made it back to our room before the skys opened up. I'm glad your back. Definitely understand about life getting in the way! Looking forward to more.

I am still here... darn school for messing with our DIS time! The pictures of Hannah are darling! Glad you had some good bus magic... it is those things that make moms happy!

I ended up spraining my ankle about 2 weeks before school started and that really threw everything off!!!

Bus magic is the best! Hannah is already asking when we can go back and adding her pennies to the "Disney jar."

I just found your TR and am so excited to read it start to finish (along with your PTR). We are also flying out of Indy so I was excited to read the good things you wrote about it.

I saw you super early wake up...what time was your flight and how early did you arrive? I'm trying to figure out those little details now for our upcoming trip in December.

I'm off to read more...I can't wait! :lovestruc
