So, how do I get the official 2007 marathon logo in my siggie? (I can't remember how I got the other stuff, so be pretty specific in your directions)
Oh - I'd like to know this also.....Is there one for Goofy?

I feel exactly the same way! I did not want to Minnie to be over. I am so going to do the Half - something I never thought in a million years I would do!

copy this stuff then go to the user cp and paste it into your signature:

Then change the parentheses to brackets [], from (img) to
img) to [img]

Does anyone have a picture of their Mickey medal from the full...I am starting to rethink which marathon I would like to do...I would love a Mickey to go with my Minnie... :teeth:

Michelle, check out my Minnie race report on that thread. I took a picture of all of the medals(except the Race for the Taste one, I found out later!! ). The Mickey ears is the one for the full and the Donald profile is the one for the half. Good luck in your decision!! :sunny: Anne

Okay... it's official.. I have signed up for the 1/2!!! After the Minnie I KNOW I can do the 1/2.. I actually have to train for this one though! LOL!! I have followed through since I got home.. and am actually enjoying my walks... Never thought I would say that! :) So.. anyway... I hope to pick up some 5k's over the summer to get me from a walk only to a walk/run thing... Soooooo.. My intention is to Walk/Run the 1/2. I will prob stay at Port Orleans Riverside for the first 2 nights and then move over to either SSR or other DVC resort for the remainder of my trip, which is also to be determined. Since I will probably head down Solo, I can be flexible about such things! I will be volunteering at the expo though this year at the Team Tiara booth.. so, come on down and make a crown to wear for the race!

I am SOOOO excited.... Can't wait to meet everyone!

Kathy

Bumping this because I updated it. Thanks for the reminder, Pat! :thumbsup2

Well, I thought I was going to have to do more persuading, but DH(Paul) WANTS to do the 1/2 with me...so now it will be the both of us...I think the persuading will have to be getting him to think about doing the full...I really think I want to try it...or maybe I will sign up for the goofy and just decide which one I want to do closer to the date, but at least I will be signed up for both...right???? :confused3

Count me in . . . crzy4mk (Michael) for the 1/2 marathon. Beginner staying offsite.

Looks like you got it figured out, Michael...it's showing up perfectly in your siggie!

Chimera,

Saturday (13th) my 16 year old son and I are doing the 10k Muddy Buddy race at Disney's Wide World of Sports and on the 21st we're going to do another one in Sarasota.

So...I can't wait to find out...how were the Muddy Buddy races? :goodvibes

Chimera,

We had a blast.

The race at Disney had 463 Teams entered. We placed 143rd overall and 26th out of 47 for our Division. I look forward to competing in this one again next year.

The race was 6.5 miles and consisted of 5 legs. At the beginning, one team member starts on the bicycle and the other member starts running 1 minute later. At the end of the first leg is an obstacle. The bicycler drops the bike, completes the obstacle and takes off running on the second leg. The runner completes the obstacle and finds the bike and pedals to the second leg to the next obstacle where the roles are once again switched. At the end, you have to wait for your buddy and together you have to crawl through a mud pit on your belly, then a short sprint to the finish.

The event was typical Disney fun, well done and suitable for a wide range of athletic ability.

The Sarasota Muddy buddy was a completely different event. The course was 6 miles, but switching between biking and running could be done at any point on the course. The course involved several ditch/canal crossings of knee deep water and was physically more demanding. There were somewhere near 24 teams competing and we finished 8th out of 12 in our division.

I'll do this one again too.

I am all signed up and my DH is doing it too :cheer2: :cheer2:

I am going to have to get moving so he does not leave me in the dust!!!! :moped: :moped:

Ok, so I made it official yesterday, but you need to change me from half to FULL!! LOL

going for the gusto this year!

thanks,

It's official! I mailed in my registration for the Half today!

DH (Chad) is doing Goofy.

We are both considering doing the 5k also since it is now going to be done through MGM.

Now that I just got back from the first official Double Scoop cruise, it's time to start thinking about the Marathon.

I'll be doing the half in January. I'm doing the Palm Beachs in December.

I'm a Galloway guy so will probably do a 4:1 run walk. The time does not matter, finishing does.

:rotfl: Loved your race for the taste post :lmao:

Please feel free to come join us on the walking/running club thread! Most of the WISH team will be doing the DL Half and/or the WDW half/full/Goofy. You would fit in 'swimmingly' ;)

Hi Jim :wave2: Thanks for signing up. I also just wanted to say that my husband dives. We are actually going to Dutch Springs this weekend with his Dive Center Group. I keep mentioning to him how fabulous I hear the diving is in Florida (It is, right?) My actual motivation to move to Florida is of course to be closer to WDW, but hey, the dive thing works too! :teeth:

Still up in the air if I can go, but am officially committed...my registration that is.
