UPDATE Michael Jackson rushed to the hospital (He Has Died)

How sad for his family.

He was truly one of the greatest talents of the last several decades. He was one of a kind, and I do not think anyone else could ever match his talent. Truly an amazing singer.

However, is think it is sad he will be remembered just as much for being the weird, strange eccentric character he became as he will for his music. Since the mid 90's Micheal has almost been a joke and i just hope in years to come people will remember his talent more than his eccentricities. I don't believe he molested children, i think he was just very weird and did not know how to deal with life. Forever trying to capture a lost childhood....

I hope his children will come through this OK.

I completely agree with this. Just last night, we saw Jordin Sparks perform MJ's song "PYT". Even though I was never really a fan, I was bopping along to it, thinking about Michael and how many great songs he had back in the day. He was so talented. It's so sad that his life turned out the way it did, and even sadder that he has now died so young. :sad1:

No, there's Paul McCartney.

maybe he can get the rights to the Beatles catalog back now...

I'm interested to see what people say tonight. I know there are a few SYTYCD watchers, was Wade on last night? I'd be interested to see him tonight as he testified in Michael's defense in the last trial.

TMZ is saying that Debbie Rowe isn't in line for custody since she gave up all of her parental rights. It says she is the mom of his two older children. Who is the mom/parents of the youngest (Blanket?)--was he adopted?

I realize now how fans of Elvis must have felt when he died.

Very good comment. I remember Elvis dying, but it didn't effect me much.

Even with all the troubles, he was an amazing entertainer. Sad to me that he led such a troubled tortured life. Maybe some of it was at his own hand, but still.

I hope Paul can buy them back. They should have never left him

Whatever he was or did, he was very talented and made a lot of people happy. Too soon to go.

Even with all the nasty messes in the past few years I can't help but feel sorry for that man. I don't think he ever was truly happy, except maybe for when his children were born. His childhood and adolescent years were awful, then he quickly turned himself into a freak... what a sad life for such a talented person.

Whoa!! What the heck is going on this week?

My condolences to his family..

I am one that can't say as I am sorry. He has done some terrible things that people shouldn't get away with and his persona allowed him to get away with it. He was a talented person and not so bad in the early years, but he sure grew up to be a bad person.

The guy just died. Maybe you could save this for another time :confused3

I have always been a huge fan of Michaels..

RIP Michael..

I just spoke to my brother who lives in England and he said people are gathering in the streets sobbing over Michael's death. It's 11:30 pm there. He said Michael was very much loved in England.

They are doing the same here.

Several of my friends have called and said they are going up to Harlem to the Apollo.

I understand how you feel, but I feel very sad for him because he was so confused and troubled, not living in reality and not getting help. He appeared to be a very insecure and emotionally wounded person since his childhood.

CNN is showing videos...never thought I'd be teary over the passing of Michael Jackson or Farah Fawcet..or Ed McMahon.

It is a sad week for the entertainment industry. I was not a fan of Michael in recent years due to the allegations of sexual abuse, but who can forget thriller? He was uniquely talented and did give us some great music.

May God be with their families during this difficult time. Michael may be almost 51, but he is still the child of his parents and the loss of a child is always and forever devastating.

I don't know if Farrah's parents are still living, but if so, my heart goes out to them as well.

RIP, Michael.

Nice. Is that really necessary. I don't believe he was ever convicted of anything. He's a wierd guy, but I never felt I could believe all those parasites that hung off him and then claimed her hurt their children. Either way, the guy may die. I don't think it's necessary to make snarky remarks about him.

Thank you, Peg. Can't believe how insensitive some people can be. :sad2:
After all this he did pass away. Kind of scares me with him being the same age as me.

I'm worried about those kids. They are going to have a rough transition. I almost hope someone like Lisa Marie is in line. She might be messed up too but her kids seem to be pretty stable.

I hope Paul can buy them back. They should have never left him

No they shouldn't. And Jackson, his friend, shouldn't have screwed him out of them! All other 'bad behavior' rumors aside...Jackson was guilty of that.

He was talented, in his day.
