Travel agent or no

For those of you in the know, for Aulani is there any benefit or loss of benefit to using a non-Disney related travel agent to book? Specifically, if you book direct with d Aulani do they give you a better room location (within your selected category), better cabana location or better access to the restaurants?

The only thing that might work in your favor is if the travel agent books for you. They don’t have priority over anyone else but they might do the legwork for you re: booking cabanas and dining.

If you are on the West Coast, perhaps the travel agent can book the reservations so you don't have to wake up at 3 AM since it's midnight Hawaiian time. It's not so bad on the East Coast at 6 AM, but Makahiki breakfast reservations were gone fast. When I ate breakfast at Makahiki recently, I noticed that many Japanese tourists frequented it. I guess that midnight Hawaiian time is a convenient time for Japanese tourists, as I think it's late afternoon.
