UPDATE Michael Jackson rushed to the hospital (He Has Died)

It isn't fair to separate the good and the bad. They are both parts of his life and I think most people are acknowledging both when talking about his life.

I don't think anyone has questioned his talent.

He has publicly criticized his parents so I really hope he had a plan for those kids.

On the day he died it isn't fair to talk about bad things that have happened to him or things that he may or may not have done. Today should be a day to respectfully honor his greatness. I haven't heard anything bad about Farrah Fawcett. It's been nothing but praise for her. Michael deserves the same and more.

i couldn't agree with you more. He really was the king of pop, and a worldwide icon. this is still a shock to me. I feel very badly about Farrah Fawcett too. Its sad that they both passed on the same day.

:sad1:

I feel like a part of my childhood has passed away, and I don't like that feeling! Rest In Peace, Michael and Farrah.

ITA! I was completely stunned upon hearing this news while at work. i am still in utter shock and have shed tears with many more to be shed. my prayers are with his family, friends and the millions and millions of fans who adore him. he will be missed but will forever live on the hearts of those who loved him! RIP MJ! We Miss You!:guilty::sad1:

I just heard that he actually died around noon and that they called the family in before taking him to UCLA. That he was already cold when the medics got there.
I heard the same rumor.
I think some of the others have a more "normal" life. Only one of them is younger than Micheal was. The oldest is almost 60, and the youngest bro is 48. Then there are the sisters too. I think Latoya is fairly messed up. Janet's a little better I guess.
Don't forget the oldest, Maureen "Rebbie" Jackson.

I am sure Michael made it known in his will who would be his children's guardian. Whether it is his mother or one of his siblings or even a niece or nephew. It could be anybody.

Today may be the start of some thing I have been waiting for, namely a lot of famous people dying. People in America do not see death and only when a lot of young celebrities start dying everyday, or every week, will people get in touch with it. Then the truth will have a chance, because it is fear that people need to be motivated to even start seriously seeking the truth.

This is the first generation of TV and people knowing people through the media, so it is inevitable that large numbers of people in the general public think they know will start dying and put people in touch with there own mortality, how temporary this little life is, and people will be forced to start looking past death, the big picture.

People will also see the wealth and fame is not that great and should not be the goal.

Michael Jackson's, miserable, weird life should teach people something because he is at the very top of material success. Life without death is impossible, no matter how rich, how famous, how renowned someone is.

Rest in peace MJ; your music will always be with us in spirit.
:confused3This is one of the most preposterous posts I have ever read.

Reading this thred I am struck by the fact that I live in an alternate universe compared to most disers. Waiting around forCNN or the major news networks to confirm a story before you believe it is odd to me. I can't remember a time that tmz, drudge etc got it wrong.Things move faster on the net but they don't often get it wrong.

I also can't believe the amount of people that thought he was wrongly accused of child molestation. I followed that case and read alot of the testimony from multiple witnesses. It is more unusual for a celebrity in CA to get convicted then it is for them to get off on the charges. I an not at all surprised he was aquitted. And molesters seem to pick the most vulnerable victims, they are easier targets.

Who I would like to jear interviewed in an in depth interview on this is Lisa Marie. She has alluded in the past to knowing something and I think she does and is honest.

I think that he likely did horrible things but I wonder about his state of mind. I always wondered if he ever lived in the real world but instead in some type of fantasy land. I guess that we'll never really know.

I feel saddened about this but I admit that I am thinking more about the young Michael who seemed to be so talented and had it all. I didn't understand the older Michael at all.

RIP. :(

I have to agree, we must live in the same alternate universe. Unfortunately, TMZ is usually right about these things. Not even that, they were dealing with Michael Jackson. What I mean is, if TMZ was posting that Michael was dead, when he was not, wouldn't Michael's "people" be able to get word out very quickly that he was in fact alive and not dead?

The LAPD inpounded at least one car from his home overnight. There were 3 towtrucks so they may have taken more then one vehicle. The cops were going to be working through th night.

TMZ got things wrong a few times. One recent event, they stated that a celebrity had killed their spouse and had stored the body in the basement of their home. This was just a few months ago. They retracted the story the next day. Not only was the story NOT true, the celebrity couple were both fine and confused about why and how such a story could be posted for an entire day on TMZ's website without so much as a apology to the couple.

Regarding the posts about Corey Feldman alleging to MJ molesting him......

Jackson was a friend of both the child stars back in their heyday. Feldman has come to the defense of Michael and declares him innocent of molesting him. He also mentions that he has other “issues” that plague a possible friendship.

“People can say whatever they want, but it wasn’t Michael,” Feldman told GQ’s Mickey Rapkin. “He and I have our own issues, but that wasn’t one of them. The guy that did this to me was my assistant. I was still a virgin at the time. I hadn’t even had sex with a girl. So for me it was just kind of bewildering.” About his abuse, Haim adds, “It’s something that will be addressed in my inner soul for the rest of my life, and it’s something that truly affects me . . . It’s just like, it happened, it’s over, and move on. Let’s move on to the next subject.”

:sad:I am sad to hear that A great Musical Icon is gone. Michael was Big when i was in high school and in my Family. I remember when my Brother and cousins were little they would do the Thriller dance in my Grandmothers Basement. seeing his Videos on MTV and VH1 made the 80's a wonderful Decade. Thanks Michael Jackson for the Memories. You will be Missed

talking about the good and bad is 100% a fair representation of his life. It doesn't matter what day we are discussing it on. I think it is key, that upon his death we remember his life. ALL of his life, not just the 'good' parts. Why is that so hard for people to understand.

I think the media has been more than fair in covering an accurate picture of his life.

Stating facts isn't 'speaking ill' no matter how ugly those facts may be.

The world isn't only black and white. It is ok to see Jackson as an incredibly talented musician and performer AND a tortured soul who was accused of some very disturbing things. BOTH are parts of who he was and in remembering his life we need to remember everything.

He will be missed. I got a text last night around 6:15 and turned the TV on right away. I have always felt that he was extremely talented, but like Elvis, was "trapped" into missing out on some things in life. In MJ's case, it was a childhood. I have loved his and his bro's music since the early 1970s - in fact the only album I had handy last night was the Jackson 5 Christmas album, which I put on for a little while just to hear Michael sing.

I remember going to a friend's house back in '82 to watch the "Thriller" video on MTV, as we didn't have cable in Philly at that time. He was really an amazing singer and dancer.

Unfortunately, this event will probably be fodder to the tabloids...they were saying on the Today show this am that noone knows where his will is...

Very well stated. I agree with you 100%.

I am wondering how many kinds of pills will be found in his system after the autopsy. And if this will be another case like anna nicole smith where the doctors go on trial for giving their patients too many pain pills.

I have no problem with the good and bad of his life being discussed. I do have a problem with the folks who state that they know that he molested children. They don't know. No one knows except those involved. The rest of us will never know for sure.

I just thought it was disrespectful for that to be brought up before he was even pronounced dead. Many of us were shocked and saddened by the announcement and worried. We really weren't in the mood to see him raked over the coals at that time.

He is gone. Now, every little detail of his life will be scrutinized. At this point, it doesn't matter to me. I will remember him for his great talent and the pleasure I got listening to his music.

Beautifully written. I couldn't agree with you more.

This morning Liza Minelli said
“All of us who knew him well really know what he was like,” the legendary singer in her own right told anchor Harry Smith. “And I’m sure that now the accolades are going, and I’m sure when the autopsy comes, all hell’s going to break loose. So, thank God we’re celebrating him now.”

You would think that family members would stay close to someone who is taking too many pills. These doctors just keep enabling their patients.
