UPDATE Michael Jackson rushed to the hospital (He Has Died)

I just looked over at Itunes current top 100 downloaded songs.
Michael Jackson has approx 37 songs currently listed in there.

INTERESTING! TMZ is now saying that Debbie Rowe never had her parental rights terminated and so she IS first in line for custody (I assume of the older 2) and that surely she will petition since the kids equal $$$$ :( . I hope what ever happens they can go to someone that will love them for THEM and protect them and keep all 3 of them together.

I haven't followed Michael much at all so I may be wrong but I thought that he was millions of dollars in debt. If that's the case, where is this $$$ going to be coming from?

Wouldn't those that are owed money be in line to collect if there is any?

What I don't get when celebrities die are the people you see holding the celebs picture bawling like he was one of their family members.

I truely feel for Farrah Fawcett. Cancer is a horrible disease and I'm sure she suffered in her last days of life.

As far as MJ goes. I was a child of the '80's. I loved his music and wanted to dance like him. Alot of his problems he brought on himself, with the changing skin color, obsession with children (not saying he molested anybody), how he came about to have his children, his children wearing masks, and dangling his baby out the hotel room window. I do feel for his family and friends also that he is gone.

But as I said I don't understanding someone hysterical over a complete strangers passing. That always made me wonder. :confused3

Hi

100% agree with you.

Also, those saying that prescription type drugs are only available from a doctor are being somewhat naive.

You can go down to Rosarita Beach and buy whatever your heart desires from the pharmacies there with no prescription. Not to mention all the sellers of prescripion meds.

coroner is about to speak...

been defered... additional testing needed...no external trauma no foul play...

I am no expert but I think the surge in sales might cover the debts and then some, and he can't spend anything more. At some point down the road, the revenue will exceed his debt and his kids will start collecting then, and for the rest of their lives.

So many radio stations playing all his songs today. I forgot how many great songs he had.

Are Michael Jackson's parents still married? If so, the children are now in Joe Jackson's house? God I hope not. It seems he was a very abusive man and many of MJs issues were rooted in the violence he suffered in his childhood :(. I'd hate to think of that man now having access to those children.

They're saying the kids mom never gave up her parental rights... so she gets them if she wants.:confused3

I believe his parents split years ago, after news of Joe Jackson's affair went public.

I heard Dan Abrams speak on this. She gave up her rights, but with parental rights it is different. You can petition the court to have them reinstated, and then what is in the interest of the children will be the factor.

What a shame if they are split:guilty: I would hope that she could be part of their life at some point though.

I believe one of the cases actually went through a trial - remember the time he showed up in his pajamas? Then when he was found not guilty, he was dancing on top of an SUV?
you are right, I do remember that now

::yes:::thumbsup2

He owns the rights to his songs and 1/2 of the Beatles. All those royalties go go to him/his estate--every time you have heard his songs on the radio today??? KaChing! Every playing is money to the estate. Yes he is about 400 million in debt but he was a compulsive big spender. Without him around to spend it all it will amass and after the debts are paid the kids will have $$$$ for the rest of their lives and beyond. Just the surge in sales in this immediate period after his death will help pay off his debts. I think that he still owns Neverland Ranch and if they turn it into a tourist destination like Graceland it can bring in Millions.

And there are now stories that there may be 100 more songs already recorded and never released. That could be worth many more millions. And licensing of his image and name in the future. He will continue to bring in a fortune, and is probably worth more in death than he was in life. Sad, but true.
