I like the main song in the Pride & Prejudice movie. It's the version with Keira Knightley. I love the piano music for it. I've never seen Sense and Sensibility but I really should. I bet I would like it. I like movies that are based on classics, like Anne of Green Gables. I love that movie and Anne of Avonlea.
I love those, too. The Anne of Green Gables were so hilarious!!! And of course very touching and beautifully filmed as well. I didn't really feel the relationship between Ann and Gill (the two actors I don't think had chemistry together), but I loved the story.

Yes, I bet you would like Sense and Sensibility. I highly recommend it! I rarely see a movie more than once, and I NEVER see one twice in the theater, but I did that one.

I saw it once I think with my sister or mom, then a friend said she wanted to see it, so we went together. There's a point in the movie where everything seems to be going wrong, and my friend and I were sobbing, and she's punching me in the arm as if to say, "How could you let me see such a sad movie???" :rotfl:

I won't say any more about it because you HAVE to see it, but I just love it. :)

:rotfl:

Total change of subject: Tonight we were both telling DS7 to get ready for bed (get his jammies on, brush his teeth, come back and say goodnight, then DH would take him up to bed and snuggle for a bit with him.) DS was arguing, saying he didn't want to brush his teeth. So I butted in and told him that it was very important that he brush his teeth: "Honey, you always need to brush your teeth EVERY NIGHT."

He said, "But Mama, Daddy let me not brush my teeth for TWO NIGHTS IN A ROW." (I was out with the girls last night...) I looked at DH, and he says, "What did he just say?" So I told him. He looked like he was gonna get real mad, so I turned back to DS7 and said, "DS7, you KNOW you need to brush your teeth every day. Especially with your new teeth coming in, you MUST brush them every day and take care of them. If you don't they will fall out and you won't have any teeth. (I didn't go into dentures.) So it's not Daddy's responsibility to tell you every night, or to MAKE you brush your teeth, right?" He said quietly, "Yes." "OK, so go brush your teeth now." OYYYYYY! :sad2:

I don't think I liked to brush my teeth when I was little either. :rotfl2: I only did it if my mom bought us some cool flavored tooth paste! :teeth: My little sister liked to brush her teeth when she was small. I'm not sure about now since I don't live with her. :confused3

I can't believe you're going to be at DL soon!! It seems like you guys have been waiting forever and the time has flown by so fast!
It's weird, we started talking about taking our first trip in December of 2005, I started lurking on the DIS, then we planned the trip for April 2006 and had to reschedule for September 2006. After the trip I went into this depression, because the planning had taken so much time, the anticipation of it was so exciting, and then before I knew it, it was all over.

Then less than a week after our trip I started talking to DH about going again this year, and he agreed. But it seemed so far off. Now it's less than 6 days away!

I should rent Sense & Sensibility and I'd also like to watch Emma with Gwyneth Paltrow. I never saw that either. I also want to see Nicholas Nickelby (with Anne Hathaway).

I love the Anne of Green Gables movies! I used to watch them all the time! I thought that Anne and Gilbert's relationships were so confusing! I just wanted her to get over herself and just kiss him or something. :rotfl2: I loved her friendship with Diana Barry and I cried when Matthew died! :sad1:

Oops! Can you edit his name out of the quoted portion on post 49492? ;)

I'm so happy that you and your family are going! Yay!! :yay: :cheer2: I know it's tough to wait and the planning alone makes you want to go even sooner!

I never thought I would make friends on the DIS. I didn't really talk to anyone and I found the DIS through Google. I was wondering if there was a Disney board and voila! The DIS was found! I posted now and then but didn't really talk to anyone. Then last year Shawna's thread brought all of us together! It's so awesome to have met and hung out with you guys and I hope to meet you too! :yay:

Yes, yes to all of that! My heart broke right along with hers when Matthew died. I also didn't think her relationship with the Captain was believable, and it was kinda EWWW! He was SO MUCH older than she. I can't remember if the age difference in the book is that far apart or not. But she was supposed to be like 17 or 18, and he looked well into his 40s. :scared:

Me either! I also thought he was too old! :rotfl: Plus he had a daughter who was at a ladies college!:rolleyes1

I have the Little Princess movie with Liesel Matthews. It always makes me cry buckets! One day my cousins came over and the eldest of the 3 of them always acts tough. Well she broke down and cried too! :)

I agree. I also found it through a search, along with several other sites. But I don't think the other sites were as helpful, and some were not very well laid out, I didn't think. (I know, a little superficial of me to say that. :lmao: )

I used to stick with the DL forum. The first time I ventured into a few other forums, people were really obnoxious, and I was so shocked! I backed away from the DIS for a week or two, then gradually started back on the DL forum again. Now I just stay away from the controversial threads and obnoxious people. Every once in awhile I get sucked in and start a reply, then back out before I submit. I think it can make a skewed opinion on some of those threads to have no one challenge the majority view, but I figure that my one voice is certainly not going to change these people's point of view, and it's just going to annoy me if people start getting in my face again. It's not worth the aggravation. :sad2:

I agree. I don't like the threads such as that one "Which disney character do you HATE?" I also cannot stand the threads where people complain how DL isn't as good as WDW. :sad2: Even worse are those who post "terrible" things about their trip, yet it comes from those who LOOK for something to complain about while at DL.

My sister went through a "tough cookie wannabe" phase when she was a teenager. She still gets that way sometimes, can be very negative, but deep down she's just as much a softie as I am. So when she, my mom and I watch a movie together we need a box of kleenex! It gets passed around a lot! :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: I think I tried that at one point when I was a teen. It didn't work out very well! :rotfl:

Did you get your shirts that you ordered? Did they say they couldn't make the design?

my Cell Phone is kinda stupid... it plays MP3 BUT the ringtone MUST BE polytonic... kinda LAAAME :\

I hate worst the ones where people are talking about how stupid other people are who have a differing opinion on hot topics like religion, politics, parenting, etc. Some people spout off shockingly obnoxious views, and I'm not sure if they really believe and behave that way in person, or if they're just making some noise on the internet because it's anonymous, you know? They'd never really say that to someone face to face.

Some regulars are amazingly supportive, there are a few people I love to read their responses because they're well thought out, helpful, non-judgmental. But even on those threads there always seems to be somebody who has to point out to an upset OP about how they "need to get a spine" or "suck it up" or "it's your fault", whatever. How does that help if somebody is already upset over something? It's not a Dr. Phil kind of response where it's trying to lead the person to a resolution, it's just judgmental and hurtful. WTH??? :confused3

No, just no response at all. It may be that the designer(s) are just super busy, and I get that. It's just disappointing. At this point I'm not going to worry about it unless I hear back like tomorrow or Monday. It's getting down to the wire!!!
