GROSS!!! I'm watching the news and they said a man molested a 3 year old girl in Nevada!!

It's soooooo sad how often that kind of thing happens. I remember when I was 14 or so my class went on a field trip that included a March of Dimes or something conference. They presented various issues related to children, including a presentation on sexual abuse. There were photos of an abused infant, and I was so shocked and horrified; I had never even imagined such a thing before. I will never forget that.

That's awful! They said that 3 year old girl is now 7 years old and they are trying to find out if she remembers anything. That guy was a friend of the family I believe.

DH got the luggage out of storage today. I hope to start packing tomorrow!

I can't believe it's so close now. Of course, DS3 starting sniffling this evening, and his nose is a bit runny. Hopefully it doesn't turn into anything more than that.

I went to my car to get my HSM2 CD and then I see this HUGE spider next to our door in the garage (the door that leads into the house). I sprayed it with bug spray but it fell and started running and went into a crack. I sprayed it a few times I think so I hope I got it! It scared the freaking daylights out of me!

We have a big Japanese Maple near the front door of our house, and there was a HUGE spider building a big web in it. DH knocked it down one day, and the next day I was heading out to pick DS7 up from school and felt a spider-string on my hand. I wiped it off and looked around, and noticed (I think the same) spider building an even bigger web very close to the walkway. He had his web 'anchor' strings all over the walkway.

So I mentioned to DH that it wasn't so helpful that he knocked the previous web down, now he's even closer to where we have to walk. DH, in his most manly voice, said, "I'll take care of that." Big Fat Spidey is now an .

I'm editing mp3's and making them into ringtones for my phone. I just made one of Sharpay's version of "Music In Me."

Oh, cool! I keep telling DH that I need a special ringtone for my phone. It just has the standard ring. HIS phone plays "My Baby's Got Back" when I call him. And another song if it's anybody else. With the previous phones we had, his played this Arab-sounding music, and we both just loved it; but when we switched to the RAZRs, he couldn't use that one anymore.

So I have to think of a good tune for my phone (or a couple) and see if I can get them.

My bf has some of the same ringtones as I do. We have the same phone. His ringtone is one he made of Coldplay's intro for "Clocks." Either that or he has a song from the movie Initial D. I made my little sister some ringtones from HSM2. I didn't have the software anymore for her phone (Razor). I got rid of my Razor phone but luckily my bf was able to upload it to her phone. She was really happy!

Actually it's just instrumental, and it seems to go over most people's head. Occasionally somebody will look surprised, like they just realized, and then there's a little chuckle.

That's funny! Years ago I had the Nokia phone. The ringtones for that phone were just the notes. I had the Simpsons theme (my bf figured it out and saved it to the phone). I was in a restaraunt once and the waitor heard it. He's all: "Coool!! You have the Simpsons! Simpsons rock!!"

I know! I should look for the theme song from Sense and Sensibility! I loved the movie, and I loved the music from it so much I bought the CD.

I like the main song in the Pride & Prejudice movie. It's the version with Keira Knightley. I love the piano music for it. I've never seen Sense and Sensibility but I really should. I bet I would like it. I like movies that are based on classics, like Anne of Green Gables. I love that movie and Anne of Avonlea.

Total change of subject: Tonight we were both telling DS7 to get ready for bed (get his jammies on, brush his teeth, come back and say goodnight, then DH would take him up to bed and snuggle for a bit with him.) DS was arguing, saying he didn't want to brush his teeth. So I butted in and told him that it was very important that he brush his teeth: "Honey, you always need to brush your teeth EVERY NIGHT."

He said, "But Mama, Daddy let me not brush my teeth for TWO NIGHTS IN A ROW." (I was out with the girls last night...) I looked at DH, and he says, "What did he just say?" So I told him. He looked like he was gonna get real mad, so I turned back to DS7 and said, "[DS7], you KNOW you need to brush your teeth every day. Especially with your new teeth coming in, you MUST brush them every day and take care of them. If you don't they will fall out and you won't have any teeth. (I didn't go into dentures.) So it's not Daddy's responsibility to tell you every night, or to MAKE you brush your teeth, right?" He said quietly, "Yes." "OK, so go brush your teeth now." OYYYYYY!
