since we live near the I-15 , if we took surface streets, the fire is between us and DL!!

I didn't realize the fires were in San Diego too! My Dad lives in San Diego. I'd better give him a call.
I remember the fire a few years ago in San Diego. My DD was going to SD State at the time. She took pics to show us. Very weird!

I hope everything is OK by Friday. We are going to San Diego for the weekend for the Monster Bash at The Gaslamp Quarter on Saturday. We take the 15, but I guess we could take the 5 if we had to.

You might want to check the web site, the news just said that the winds fanning the various fires will probably continue tiil friday. A lot of the fires and considered 0 percent contained! so special events in the San Diego area may be cancelled, as many San Diegans might be in the hotel room! So far they have about ten to twelve thousand at the Qualcom Stadium.

You've never had blue chese until the BB? Are you living in the dark ages woman?? Me thinks, you need to come to California a little more often and live a little! Anyways, blue cheese is good!!!!!!!! And if you want to dress up an oil and vinegar dressing, and make it yummy...........sprinkle a little of it on top! I know cuz DH has to watch the heart too, and creamy blue cheese is a little too rich for him. So this is a nice alternative for him.

okay, i know there is fire but how DARE YOU TAKE MY TV AWAY FROM ME!!!

seriously, they need to team up and make a NEWS only channel for none cable users... :|

I love having cable.. nah nah boo boo .. I got TV and you don't !!!

Ok, so I seriously freaked this morning watching all the news and reading it online from the local paper (press enterprise). Tryng to picture where all the fires are and how close they could possibly creep my way...remember I have no clue about anything in CA except directions to drive to DL and the beach.

Went for a stroll (after hearing two fire trucks go by), things are just fine.

The dust is likely worse on hubby's end of town, all newer construction, not enough trees or grass.
We went to Super Target yesterday, came out of the store and we couldn't see past the parking lot. Dodging tumble weeds and flying garbage driving back home.
I compared it to a moderate snowstorm with wind.. except it's not cold, slippery or accumalating on the windshield so fast that the wipers can't keep up.

At least with sand, it pelts you in the face, makes you cough... but when the wind is gone you can sweep it all up again.

I have a busy day today. Lots of orders I've been entering and paperwork. I don't want to work OT today so I'm processing all the orders as fast as possible. I'm almost done, about 3 left.

I'm currently on my break. I was so sleepy awhile ago. Oh and Dizzy- I tried the Garnier Fructise red highlights today. I think I need a brighter red since my hair is black. I could barely see it.

I'm getting a haircut after work today. My hair is way too long and I've wanted to have it cut for a while, but just couldn't find the time. I hope it turns out good. I'm trying a new salon. Hopefully I won't have to wear this to work tomorrow:
