Me thinks your are right, and you need to get them out of there. I also think you need to talk to the owner about the manager. I can understand during class that they need to be quiet, but during break?? Especially for little girls. All she needed to do, was to ask them to be more quiet. She didn't need to come unglued at them. Poor things!

I know. Morgan, her friend, and about 2 other girls are the only one at the barre in the beginning of the class waiting for it to begin. The 4 of them are very serious when it comes to class time while the other girls slide around on the floor and do cartwheels. Morgan has never gotten told to pay attention in class. This was just a blowing off steam thing where they wanted to act silly!

The studio we are switching to is more structured and does the competition thing I was talking to you about. why would I put her in a studio that is more strict if I knew she wasnt focused and serious about this. I wouldn't. its like they were just being silly girls nothing else. Like I said it only lasted about 3 minutes.

I try not to get excited, if you look calm, you are!! After 35 years of government service I have learned to just take it in stride. a little pre-planning on the evac stuff is easy. the first three folders in the file cabinet in my home office are all insurance papers: Health, house, car/ DW and I (and pets) health/shot/birth certs, passports, etc. papers. (Had DW chipped )

We have digital photos of every room in the house, every piece of furnature, every t.v., tool, etc. everytime we buy a new applince, the first thing I do is take a digital photo of it, the first one is with the daily newspaper to show the date, and pictures of model number/serial number etc. I then scan the receipt into a file on my computer! I have scanned all our papers, documents, my entire 35 years of government paperwork, family photos, etc. etc. into PDF/jpg documents that are burned to two DVD plus backed up on my computer. My computer is a Shuttle brand (micro) which I can unplug and put in a briefcase size bag, and go. plus all files are backed up on laptop that is already in evac kit.

If we had to evac, I would probably go to the Qualcom Stadium. They are set up with cots, sleeping bags, etc.

It sounds like a lot of work, be in reality, it only takes a few minutes to get the stuff together. the scanning and stuff only takes a few minutes of prep, then its done!!

Everything else is covered by insurance! AS long as DW and I have dogs and cat we are good to go!

Very smart idea and organized! Can you teach my hubby to be organized?

and proceeds to scrunch it into a file folder, later I found the paper on the kitchen floor.. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrgh!

Oh my Goodness... I am freaking out!!! You guys remember a while back we were looking at those New homes? We put it off til after the new year... with everything else we had going on.... I just checked thier web site, and they are offering a $20,000. bonus!!! I think we might just jump on this!!! Last time we were looking at a $6000. bonus... this is a tad more than that!!!!

Holy Mackeral you are prepared. Me thinks I need to do some of this stuff. I have some stuff in our safe, but not like you do with all of the pictures of everything. You are too organized! I can't even repeat what you did on the computer! Let alone do it! I'm lucky to turn it on and look things up! Good grief...my DH can't even turn on the computer. Although the other day, he finally said I need to learn how to use the internet. WOW!

Its not all that hard! We neded a home FAX machine to send and receive stuff from lawyers and doctors in Boston for the care of DW sick mom. we bought a 4 in 1 from Staples (on sale!!). 4 in 1 refers to a printer/fax/scanner/copier. connects to the computer via USB, install the software, and go! the scan part, you set up what type of document you want to save as (most common is PDF) and scan away! then save it to a file, I.E. DW medical, PETs vet papers, etc.

It sounds like a lot, but I forced myself to do at least one hour a night after work, and three hous a day on the weekends! cooolllll

SO anyhoo... I Helped dh make chocolate chip cookies tonight... They turned out pretty well, if I do say so myself!

OK, so I missed the part where Shawna said she'd found a new studio for Morgan...?

hey Alex, there is a brand new studio opening up 1 mile away from my house! Its tough to tell exactly what its like since its new but the owner is a teacher from another studio and my friend has seen her teach. They opened last week and we went to a technique class. They corrected things in Morgan she had never learned and actually did the turns and leaps right beside her. They kept moving her body so her hip was alligned right and or repositioning her toe on leaps so it was 1 inch from where she had it. Very detailed. Morgan responds well to that!

our show this weekend at the State Fair was a mess. They had not rehearsed the dances from last year except for 1 night. Nobody remember them and they all looked like they had never learned them. They even let one girl perform without her costume (she was in a black leo). I think if you come unprepared you sh ouldnt be able to perform in my opinion at a show where there are hundreds of people watching. This girl never is prepared and pulled the same thing at the year end recital. They are just very unprofessional. We get told about rehearsals and performances a week ahead of time.

The new studio has a calendar out through June and I know when all the rehearsals are so I can ACTUALLY PLAN my LIFE!!!

BTW Morgan loved the new place and the teachers! Her friend is moving too they are both switching after their Christmas recital in Dec!

Right now I am looking at 1721 Elevation C. OR....1418 With the master bath....The smaller house is WAY less money.... SO that is most likely the way we would go....
