i'm all for taking kids to hard ticket events as it can be an exciting fun time for an entire family to share together.
mnsshp is one of them.
but, when it comes to a more adult theme as HHN is, i would not recommend hhn for children 12/13 and under.
if young kids enjoy frights, scare actors in the street theme settings and "haunted houses" this hhn event still isn't suited for them
the park gets loud and crowded, long lines for restrooms and beer stands.
besides the theme and gore that goes on in the parks for it, the environment isn't the best for young kids.
the blood bags that are sold are costumed employees dressed for the theme.
you wil run into guests that are really into the night and as the night goes on, a lot more drunks you will notice.
language is not toned down when kids are around..
bill and teds show is fantastic but a young kid might learn a lot more about life than you want to expose them to.
i have been going since 1999.
i have seen people walk out of bill and teds show, go to guest services and demand their ticket money back due to the fact their kids are scared to death or the parents are insulted by language or actions heard in the parks.
tickets are non refundable.
UO advertises hhn is not for the faint of heart or for young children.
scare actors don't tone it down when they see littles in the park that night.
but, if you feel your child is up to this type of event, and won't be exposed to things they have no previous knowledge of, it's the parents decision to make.
some kids that i have seen at hhn with parents, do fine and it is not an issue for them.
they loved it and i think it is because the parents have been there before and prepared their kids what to expect.
but the majority of them, it wasn't a good experience.
the parents had no idea of what hhn was all about.
last 2 years i did see families with littles in strollers....
now you know those adults had no idea what hhn would be like.
