In May 2004 I purchased a 2-park Premium Annual pass. It was a promotion where you buy one year, get the 2nd year free (anyone remember that?). It was right around the time The Mummy opened. Anyways, I used the pass a lot the first year but haven't used it since. So thinking that I only had a couple months left I decided to plan a mini-vacation. I called USF to find out the exact expiration date of the pass, and they said it expired in May of LAST YEAR. They are telling me it is only a 1 year pass. I am 100% positive I did the 2nd year free promotion, but they said they can't look up the records because it was not purchased directly through USF but through Spencer's Gifts (an official seller of USF tickets). I don't have any receipts from that purchase, just the annual pass itself which doesn't list an expiration date.

I feel really screwed with no receipt. I am wondering, was it even possible to buy an AP *without* the 2nd year free during the time of that promotion? I am thinking if they can see my purchase date and realize it was purchased at the time of that promotion, maybe that would prove I have a 2 year pass. Anyone?

I bought one at that time and it expires this May. I did make sure that when I bought it, I specified that it was the two year deal and I checked on the annual pass website to make sure that it was registered as such.

Damo where did you buy yours?

we bought ours the same time period. but we had to go through the UO website and enter a code to get the second year free. I've got a feeling this is where the problem is, the code number.

I bought it from the UO website as well and when I had it processed I double checked. They had already processed it as a two year pass but I wanted to make sure.

I don't remember if I had entered a special code or just followed the special link on the Universal website. It may have been an online only deal.

Edit: It was the Burger King deal!!! Remember you needed the Burger King code??? Here are some old posts that talk about it: http://www.disboards.com/archive/index.php/t-575467.html

Yes I remember vividly handing the clerk my glossy Burger King coupon (had the Mummy logo on it) and double, triple checking to make sure she was giving me a 2-year pass. I remember leaving that place with no doubt everything was fine. And I was never told I had to do anything with a code online. I don't understand. :confused3

Then someone messed up. If you put your pass number into the Universal website, what comes up?

Maybe phamton will have some suggestions for you.

After I log in, it takes me to the screen that starts off with "Welcome Annual Passholder to the Universal Orlando Online Passport!" If it was already expired, would I still get to that screen?

it shouldn't. call guest services again and press them on this.

And I forgot to mention I called two seperate times (just to be sure) and both told me the pass expired last year. Hmmm...

It sounds like Spencers screwed up not Universal. As far as I know, you couldn't get the 2 year deal except through Universal's official website or at the park not through Spencers or other ticket outlets.

I never saw the coupon at burger king so I don't know what you had scanned at spencer's. I entered the code online and picked up our vouchers at the kiosks.

Did you use a CC to purchase? Maybe it can be tracked that way. Have a look at the thread damo pulled up and do a search also. Its totally possible it was an online only special. Hope you are able to get to the bottom of this. Universal guest services has always been helpful to me and very willing to please. If you get someone that doesnt seem able to help you may want to try again. I can imagine its frustrating to you but Universal isnt trying to cheat you either. :goodvibes

Yeah I already called earlier today and they found the charged amount to Spencer's for $181 incl. tax, but the problem is it doesn't specify what the charge was for. I am not sure that would be good enough to prove it.
