Typhoon Lagoon Closed in October...

I came across this bad news on the Dis schedule. I was looking forward to doing Typhoon Lagoon for the first time this year.

I haven't read that yet but it could very well be. It was Blizzard Beach was closed last year.

Hmm, I couldn't find that info anywhere. We were thinking of trying neither TL or BB during our trip. DD wants to float in "the lazy river".

I thought they closed alternately (TL and BB) in December and January, when the weather's coldest. As I remember, October's still prime swimming season.

I can't find this anywhere either. On the projected hours it shows it should be open.

Oops CORRECTION.... it does say Rehab the last 2 days of Oct.

We will be arriving on 10/30/04 So no Typhoon for us. It will be closed in November too.

I have also read on the projected hours schedule that it should be open until the last two days of October. We will be arriving on the 28th so were planning to do TL on the 29th. Have done BB before so was looking forward to going to TL. Hope that we can!

The projected hours are based on last year's schedule, so if TL was closed last year for rehab then it will show on this year's projected schedule.
Once Disney has the October hours posted you will be able to see if one of the water parks will be closed this year. I looked at last years hours on themeparks.com and BB was closed 10/26-10/31 and then the whole month of November and TL was closed 10/22 and 10/23 but open in November.

TL & BB are both closed for about 6 weeks each year to rehab. They will be done one right after another. So if TL is closed, BB will be open.

Last year we were there Oct. 25 through Nov.1 and BB was closed. I am hoping that this year it is open since my kids both LOVE waterparks!!!
