Tyler's Wish Trip - Nov. 20-25, 2009 / Dream Factory

Another meet with Stitch and getting to see so many other characters even in the parade. Wow! Great trip report so far and you aren't even finished with this day. That's great that the Pirate's League had a pirate parade too and the children got a few more souvenir to remember this by. :cool1::thumbsup2

Your camera takes really sharp photos! It's wonderful the way your trip is going, so great for the kiddos.
Your little one reminds me so much of my granddaughter. She is so cute & she is having so much fun as are the rest of the family. I'm so happy for Tyler.

Awesome update!

Look at all of that character interaction in the parade!!! That is so cool! :)

Enjoying your TR! Love the pictures!

Thank you! My kids must just attract characters as they did not have on any special buttons or anything. I love how Hayley learned to hold out her hands for the characters too!

Absolutely fantastic TR~! I am just loving it!!:thumbsup2

Thank you! I love sharing Tyler's trip and all of the pictures!

I am still working on trying to finish this day. I discovered that photobucket has a limit to the number and size of picture you can put on their site each month. My husband doesn't know it yet, but he now has an account so I can work on my report some more!

Thank you! It is just an 8.2 megapixel Sony Cybershot. I have learned when to use the flash and several of the other settings to get better pictures in different lighting situations, but I am not an expert. Hayley had more fun than anyone on this trip. She has always been the happiest baby in the world! :cutie:

After the parade we took the bus back to the resort for a nap.

DSC04195.jpg

When we arrived back at the room there were many more pieces of towel art for the kids to explore!

Then Tyler, Breanna and I went to sleep. Since Hayley had already taken a nap, she thought that she did not need to go back down. Aaron told me that she learned how to climb out of the pack and play. He said after an hour of constantly putting her back in, she went to sleep. When Breanna and Tyler woke up she had their stuffed animals in her bed with her!

We dressed everyone in layers for the park tonight. Last night at DTD the temperatures were chilly at about 8 PM. Then I gave the kids some glow bracelets from the Big Give. Tyler played with his for several days after he got them. He even took them to bed with him as he liked how they glowed under the blankets.

On the way to eat dinner we took some pictures of more of the Christmas decorations.

Then the kids selected to use our CS credits at Pinocchio Haus. Tyler waved to every boat as they started their journey.

Half way through dinner Tyler and Hayley decided to protect their food from one another. It was too funny!

Then we rode IASW again! Tyler told me what to take pictures of on this ride. Here is what he selected:

Then I finally was able to capture the fish in a photo. Each time I tried before it would go back under the waves as I was taking the photo.

Wonderful pics again! That dessert looks yummy. I cant wait to ride IASW. I think everyone else might get bored on it but Im going to love it!

Thank you! I was about half done finishing the posts for this day when my husband called and traffic was backed up so I needed to get Tyler to gymnastics and he would meet me there. Then I had to make it back home to attend our PATT (Parents and Teachers Together) Christmas dinner / meeting at a local restaurant. I was hoping to have 30 minutes uninterrupted, but I will finish updating now. My whole family loves IASW. The chocolate cake that comes with the counter service meals on the dining plan is awesome. The cake is so moist and the frosting is decadent. I took the picture of it since I liked the bear confetti!

After this ride Tyler wanted to ride the carousel. This ride was one of his favorites and I can’t tell you how many times we rode it this trip. I like the new double steps on some of the horses as my feet do not fit in the stirrups to get up on the horses. I guess they will all be refitted soon!

Then it was on to the Dumbos.

I held up the ride by asking a cast member to take our photo. Then she asked if there were more members of our party that also needed their photo taken and she took another photo for me!

Here is an eerie picture of the castle.

DSC04243.jpg

We decided to try to fit in a ride on Snow White’s Scary Adventure prior to the fireworks starting.

DSC04246.jpg

We were also to ride the Pooh ride really quick.

When we exited from the ride we were trapped in Fantasyland. It is a neat perspective for the fireworks. Some fireworks are shot off from the castle, but the others are shot off from behind the Ariel’s Grotto area

DSC04254.jpg

DSC04255.jpg

DSC04256.jpg

While watching the fireworks I found a garden patch of strawberry parfait dianthus. I love these flowers and the frost killed mine a few years ago and I have not been able to find replacements. Our garden centers keep carrying other versions.

DSC04258.jpg

Tyler loves the lights and bright colors of the fireworks, but he hates the loud bangs as you can see.

After the fireworks we decided to go in a circle around the back of the park. We rode the Peter Pan ride and then my favorite, the Haunted Mansion.

DSC04276.jpg

DSC04277.jpg

We made a stop in to see some old friends, The Country Bears. I was told I could take as many pictures as I wanted as long as I turned my flash off. So, I did.

You're updating so often I can't keep up..I  it! It's great seeing the kids enjoy the character interaction so much. I hope I can do as well getting mine posted when we get back!

It must be like reliving the trip, by writing this report and painstakingly posting all these photos, huh?

I remember the Spectro Parade from our trip back in '05. I have very very vivid memories, I loved it! Thanx for the px. I can't wait to see it again.

I actually had more updates and had planned on finishing Day 3 last night when I lost my internet connection. I thought it was because of the winter storm. However, when I called the cable company this morning the computer was operating in off-line mode. I think a little helper touched the computer while I was at my meeting last night and daddy was watching them!

Matty's Wish Trip http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2325607

Yesterday, I was about to give up on the photos. I spent 3 hours uploading photos and none of them uploaded. I went and did dishes and other things while they were uploading to come back and find error messages. It is working again! I love sharing the photos with others who love Disney as much as I do. The Spectro Magic parade is special to my husband and myself as we saw it for the first time on our honeymoon. Then it was moved to DL and we saw it there. We are happy it is home again at WDW!

I LOVE Spectro! Second to Wishes - one of my favorite things in all of Disney!

The kids loved the floats with all of their colors almost as much as they loved seeing the characters. There is a little bit more of the parade to come now that I have this computer issue solved!

Great updates as usual! I think my favorite picture is the one where Tyler was protecting his food! Too cute!!

Here are the last of the parade photos:

Next, we headed to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Aaron took Tyler and I guess he screamed through the ride. It was dark and not his favorite. Breanna and I rode second.

DSC04369.jpg

DSC04370.jpg

DSC04371.jpg

DSC04372.jpg

We chose not to ride Splash Mountain as it was a little too cool to be very wet for the rest of the evening. It was now around Midnight and the crowds were starting to disappear.

DSC04373.jpg

DSC04374.jpg

DSC04375.jpg

DSC04376.jpg

The Jungle Cruise and the Tiki Birds were closed for the night.

On the walk I took some more Christmas photos.

DSC04377.jpg

DSC04378.jpg

DSC04379.jpg

We went back to Tyler’s favorite ride, Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin! Aaron pointed out a hidden Mickey to me.

DSC04380.jpg

DSC04382.jpg

DSC04383.jpg

DSC04385.jpg

Then we observed that Space Mountain was open. Breanna refused to ride and Tyler was too small so I rode by myself. Even with the fast pass lane there was about a 15 minute wait. Now, it had just opened a few days ago and guests had destroyed the interior walls. A gentleman behind me in line said that it was down earlier in the day and guests were in line for over two hours. Guests had peeled the latex paint from the walls. There were huge chunks of paint on the floors. It was so sad and disgraceful. I did like the new more cushiony seats, but the ride was still a little bumpy for my tastes. I am sure this is due to the inability to move with the car as you cannot see where you are going.

Then when I got off of the ride, Aaron decided that he wanted to ride it as it had been closed the last time we were here. I took the little ones for a walk. Tyler and Breanna wanted to ride the Tea Cups. There was no line. I took a sleeping Hayley out of the stroller and asked if the older two could ride in a tea cup by themselves as long as I was in a close tea cup and it was ok. So Hayley slept through the ride and does not know that she even rode it! Tyler and Breanna had a blast spinning one another silly.

DSC04393.jpg

We met back with my husband and Tyler wanted to drive in the Tomorrowland Speedway. Bre would not drive by herself since she claims the pedals are too hard to push. Aaron took Tyler first.

DSC04395.jpg

DSC04396.jpg

I pushed Hayley and went and looked at pins to trade. The little kiosk by the Speedway and the Tomorrowland store has a small book of trading pins you can look at. I found one of the newer seashell Ariel set I was looking for. Then we went back and Aaron took Breanna for her turn. At this point it is about 2:20 am and only Hayley is asleep.

I took Tyler and Breanna on the Winnie the Pooh ride. There was no one in line. We rode a second time. By the time we exited the ride my husband was screaming at me that I should not have ridden a second time. He took Tyler and ran with him. I thought at this point he was crazy!

DSC04399.jpg

I finally made my way to the carousel and Tyler is riding next to Dale. How was I supposed to know the characters were riding the rides. I think that Chip and Dale later took a kid by the hand and went to ride the Dumbos.

DSC04400.jpg

DSC04402.jpg

DSC04403.jpg

Tyler wanted to ride again so my husband told me to take him. It was 2:55 AM! Tyler discovered Donald and Goofy sitting in the bench seat on the carousel and I tried to explain to Tyler that there was no room for him when Donald and Goofy shook their heads yes, made room and picked Tyler up to sit between them. He was in heaven. Bre and I sat in the front row of the seat.
