Two for One: Double Disney Birthdays! *Meg nonTR upd 9/23* // *Help out Katie! 10/22*

THREE DAYS!

Both my parents think that our 7 AM flight is going to be a very good thing, and neither of them are stressing about the possibility of snow, which makes it a little easier for me not to stress.

:dance3: I can't believe we're leaving in three days!

I'm super paranoid about the snow. I basically won't quit worrying until we're already on the plane and in the air. I checked accuweather for my city, and it says snow and 1-3", which is nothing, and I don't think it's starting till after we leave. I'm so grateful for that 7 AM flight. :worship:

2 Days Meggie!!!!!!

3 days!!! :dance3:

2 days!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I think I might know the next number! :cool1:

You've gotta be beside yourself with excitement. It will feel surreal when you are walking through the airport. I predict all will be well with your flight.

Best wishes for everyone at your house to be healthy and wealthy and wise throughout this whole trip. :)

Have a Great Trip:banana: Hope everyone stays healthy this year. Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back. Have fun!!!:cheer2:

2 Days Meggie!!!!!!

I KNOW! I'm so freaking out in a good way -- like when you asked me whether I had considered taking any sleep aid TOMORROW night!

I really am beside myself. Katie wrote on my Facebook earlier and asked if I had considered taking any kind of sleep aid tomorrow night (I had a very sleepless night last night) and I was SO excited when she put it that way!

Thank you so much for the well wishes  Kailyn went to school today, is going to work after, and my mom took a sick day and probably will tomorrow, so everyone will be healthy. :goodvibes

Thank you! Me, too; I'm pretty sure that we've all gotten our sickness out of the way, so it will be a good do-over. :)

We leave in TWO DAYS!

I'm pretty sure my travel anxiety has already started. I went to bed at 11:30 last night because I had to be up at 7 this morning. I woke up at 3:15 and could not go back to sleep for anything. I tossed and turned, wide awake, till a little after 5:30. Then I finally managed to go to sleep, only to have my alarm go off at 7. Sometime around 4:30 AM I thought, "we'll be getting ready to leave exactly 48 hours from right now!" Probably one of the reasons why I couldn't get back to sleep. So, even though I hate taking something just to get some sleep, I think I'm going to have to tomorrow night. If I was awake for 2+ hours in the wee hours of the morning two days before we leave, it's safe to say I will get little to no sleep tomorrow night if I don't take something.

I started packing last night. I used to be one of those people who actually liked packing. Then, I started worrying about the weather and having enough hoodies and coordinating and all sorts of stuff. The entire time I was packing last night, I was having an argument in my head about whether or not to take my black fleece jacket, and if I did, whether or not to bring my black hoodie, as well. It was a very long and drawn-out argument in my head, and finally I decided to leave the fleece jacket at home, and wear the black hoodie when we fly down on Wednesday (to coordinate with my khakis and black t-shirt worn over a black tank top with my black sneakers.)

I apologize for the size of the pictures; they uploaded tiny and I can't figure out how to get them any bigger. :headache:

This was my suitcase.

This was all the stuff I wanted to fit in there.

DSC01164.jpg

I'm not going to lie, I actually stood there for a few minutes just looking at the pile, looking at my suitcase, looking at the pile, looking at the suitcase, thinking, "how am I going to do this?" I actually grabbed one of our bigger suitcases. I was so proud of myself for actually getting it all in. About midway through my packing, I realized, "crap, I need to fit the stuff I can't bring in my carryon in here, too." THEN I remembered that I'm obviously going to have souvenirs to bring home. So I did a little reorganizing.

DSC01167.jpg

These are the bags I'm bringing. The bag on the left is going to be my park bag -- it's just one of those backpacks with the strings that tighten the top. My main reason for carrying this one is that the strap won't go across my chest or over my shoulder (I'm not crazy about either, which is why I never carry a purse), and it's not an actual backpack, which I think might bother me to carry around. I'm so picky it's ridiculous. It's also going to have plenty of room for my mug. The one on the right is my carryon bag, because it has a separate, waterproof compartment in the back for my laptop. The park bag is going into the carryon bag, and I'll just take it out and load it up when we get to the room.

And, just because, the little Disney things around my room. The little lion came from the gift shop at AKL, and the other little things were part of an incense pack that I got from the big shop in China.

and just next to my desk. I'll probably end up taking the light-up Tink down and pack it to bring with me to pin on my bag.

Tomorrow, I'm dropping off my furbaby at the vet for his boarding. :( He apparently made a lot of friends every time he's been there, and all the people who work there are amazingly nice, so I'm not worried. It's just hard dropping him off. I'll probably do that early in the afternoon and just get it over with.

The only packing I have to pack is my carryon stuff, and after that it will be just the last-minute stuff that I need to pack. I need to buy and cut up some veggies for the guinea pigs and clean their cage, make sure that my room is nice and clean (all I really have to do is vacuum), and make sure my iPod is charged. When I got out of class today, I made last-minute stops at Target and PetSmart for a couple of things, and then I went to cash in my coins. I checked for a Disney gift card, but the one I went to didn't offer it, so I just got the regular cash voucher. After I emptied out all the change, I was looking at it and thinking I'd be lucky to get $30. After I stood up from collecting the change that got rejected and throwing it back in, I realized I had hit $50! So the $50 from Coinstar, plus the $17 that I threw in the bottle, means $67 more for souvenirs. I was really excited about getting that much, considering I rarely carry cash.

We're leaving in less than 48 hours. How is that possible?!

:rotfl2: I can just see you standing there looking back and forth between your clothes and your suitcase! You did a great job though! :thumbsup2 I always roll my clothes too....makes for a lot more room ;)
Score for Coinstar! Way to go!!! Lots of shopping for you!! ::yes::
You will be fine flying out early in the am....I always try to fly out early in the day when I leave because I always feel there is a lesser chance for delays :confused3
I would suggest either some Tylenol PM or Advil PM ;)

I work so well under pressure, it's awful! Last semester, I had a paper that had, I think, nine different sections, and each section was to have at least five paragraphs each. Add in the intro and conclusion and that's 47 paragraphs. :scared1: Of course, I didn't bother doing that math until after I was already writing it three days before it was due. It ended up being 19 pages and I got a perfect score on it, like 30/30, which was made even better because the professor is amazing, but a hard grader. :rotfl2: She's the chair of the early childhood education department at my school, so I've had her for a few classes and have her this semester, too. I know what to expect yet I'm still putting off her work. :rotfl:

I always get better grades on projects and papers when I leave them until the last minute. :confused3

I think we're getting more snow in RI than you're getting in MA. My teachers are already talking about potential snow days Wednesday and/or Thursday. I would LOVE to have one or two snow days! But only if the snow doesn't interfere with you! Last night I checked the weather for the day I leave and it said sunny. Now it says snow showers :scared1: But we have a 7:55 AM flight so hopefully the showers will happen later. It's still too early for an accurate prediction so I won't start freaking out until the end of this week :rolleyes1

It looks like we had very similar nights! I went to bed at 11:30 and couldn't fall asleep until around 1. I started doing the "how many hours until I wake up for my vacation?" math :upsidedow At about 12:25 I came up with 197 hours and 35 minutes  That was actually accurate. I just checked  Then I woke up around 3 and didn't fall asleep again until about 4:00.

I'm not going to lie, I actually stood there for a few minutes just looking at the pile, looking at my suitcase, looking at the pile, looking at the suitcase, thinking, "how am I going to do this?"

That's what happened when I was re-organizing my dresser. I had a ton of clothes that were just sitting on top of it and in various places in my room  I put my clothes on my bed and I just sat there and said "How is all of this going to fit in there?!?!"

My cousin rolls her clothes like you do. I think I need to start doing that!

We're leaving our doggy with my dad. She LOVES him and he loves taking her for the week. He always picks her up from our house and she gets all excited. But the one time we dropped her off at his house and left and started whining and went over and sat at the door with the sad puppy face and watched us leave. It was heartbreaking :sad1: But she doesn't mind it if he picks her up

:lmao: I was trying to gauge whether or not I was going to get halfway through the packing and then realize I had no more room. I have to give my mom the credit for the rolling -- she taught me that trick and it makes for more room and less wrinkles!

My mom has been checking the weather and I'm feeling a lot better about Wednesday. Actually, just as I was finishing typing, my mom called to me because it said on the local channel that our area is supposed to get 10-15" on Wednesday, BUT it's not going to start until the late afternoon. I am SO grateful for that early flight! :worship:

I'm picking up my sister from work at 7 and I need to pick up a few things for my parents -- I think one of those are going to make it into the basket. :rolleyes1

I always get better grades on projects and papers when I leave them until the last minute. :confused3

When I was writing to Tracy, my mom called to me and my area is supposed to get 10-15" on Wednesday! :scared1: It's not supposed to start till after we leave, thankfully, like late in the afternoon/early evening. I'm pretty sure this is a brand-new development because they definitely weren't predicting that much a few hours ago. Is there anything on the news about snow for you guys?

I hate reorganizing and finding new spots for things. I did that last semester when I was putting off a paper for my children's lit class, and it was so discouraging. I was having such a hard time finding a spot for anything, but it was that or just leave all the clothes everywhere...I chose to find spots. And, definitely roll your clothes! More room and less wrinkles. ::yes::

Caesar isn't so bad to drop off -- he doesn't like being in the car, but he's not "vocal" and crazy. He does tend to freak out when he first enters the office, but after that, he's fine. Unlike one of our old dogs, he hasn't quite figured out what the suitcases mean, so he doesn't have the sad look.

I've been freaking out about the possibility of snow, but it looks like I no longer have any reason to worry. The local news channels just recently started saying that there is going to be a Nor'easter on Wednesday, BUT it's not supposed to start until later in the morning, like 11 AM. :yay: One channel is calling for 6-10" and another is calling for 10-15". It's supposed to be the worst from 5 PM - 11 PM on Wednesday (when we'll be at AK riding Everest till we puke -- not like I'm keeping track :rolleyes1), with gusts up to 40 MPH, which is something that could close Logan, but I'm not really worried about that because we're leaving so early.

The snow gods have been good to us :worship:

We're supposed to get a ton of snow! I think it's hitting us a few hours before it hits you, which is good for both of us. You'll be in the air on the way to Orlando, and I'll be looking forward to a snow day :upsidedow I think we'll get one if not two.

I would have been the same way with the packing and the suitcases! :rotfl:

Love all of your little Vinylmation guys near the computer. In fact, I like all the Disney touches in your room!

Whew! Glad you will be in Orlando when the worst of the snow begins!

There will be no "puking" on this trip!! :scared:

We're all checked in and have our boarding passes. :dance3:

:dance3::dance3::dance3:You leave tomorrow! I'm so excited for you! I've been telling everyone I know that my best friend is going to Disney tomorrow...:dance3::dance3::dance3:

Patrick asked what I wanted for Valentine's day and I told him that since we have Monday off and AP's he could fly me to Fl to see you...he didn't bite into that one :confused3

You leave TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One more week for me! And it sounds like we'll probably have our snow day tomorrow :)

It now says "partly cloudy" for next Tuesday! That makes me feel a lot better than the snow showers they were predicting the last time I checked!

Hi Everyone...some news on the Megablocks front....their trip has been changed. Due to the weather their flight for tomorrow morning was canceled. After many many phone calls between Meg's mom and the Airline and several upset texts between Meg and myself the issue has been fixed...

Their new trip dates are Friday Feb. 12-Friday Feb. 19. They were able to adjust their dates. Meg is going to be on later to do a full update, she just wanted me to let you all know whats up.

That stinks that she's leaving two days later! But I'm glad she was able to keep the same amount of days!

Meg, in case you end up not going to MK on the 16th we can rearrange our DIS meet. We'll be at Epcot part of the day on the 17th and then we're going to AK for evening EMH! I know you like riding Everest at night so depending on your plans, maybe we can meet up and visit the Yeti together ;) We'll talk about it when you come on later!

I'm sorry the snow interfered with your fun!!!

That stinks about the cancellation! I'm so glad you were able to reschedule though. Safe travel thoughts going your way!!! :)

Oh
my
goodness!

This weather is sure making its mark on a heck of a lot of people!
I know you had to be frustrated out of your mind while you were working all this out. I'm glad you get to stay the same amount of time, though.

I think Trent is going to be in Magic Kingdom on Saturday and Animal Kingdom Sunday. Do you know your Saturday and Sunday plans? You guys should try to cross paths. He's a nice guy and easy to talk to. He'll be with nowellsl's daughter.

I will be glad when this winter is over. Hopefully, we will have a beautiful and peaceful spring!
