Using cell phone: best option!?

Would I be better off buying a SIM card (if so can someone tell me one they have actually used) or going online and getting a e SIM card? I have very little knowledge and my provider is charging too much for a daily fee to do this. I’m going for a week only. Many thanks

If you are not looking to get voice, and willing to rely on apps such as WhatsApp for texting, then you could have a data only esim, such as those offered by Airolo and other like providers. If looking to text the traditional way, then you need an actual voice line that you could get through either a physical or esim - and shopping through Amazon for "USA sim" will generate plenty of options

You could sign up to a prepaid plan with freedom mobile that gives us and Canada data and it could be pretty cheap.

Got sick of paying crazy monthly fees with the big telcoms. Switched to PM a couple years back,. Only paying $34mo for an all-inclusive 60GB plan that includes CAN/US/MEX (data, voice, messaging, etc.)

Call your Cell Carrier and see if your plan can be adjusted for the month, we used to go that route instead of the $15 a day we would get charged for day tripping.

We are with Telus and have Mex-Can- US unlimited ( runs off current data limits etc)
