Two for One: Double Disney Birthdays! *Meg nonTR upd 9/23* // *Help out Katie! 10/22*

My internet is being absolutely insane, and even though I was obviously logged in to reply, when I tried to post the replies, it said that I was not allowed because I wasn't logged in. :headache: This time, I'm copying and pasting before I try to post anything!

And YOU are almost in the single digits!!

I felt the same way when I was sick -- I was so glad that it was happening then and not when I was in Disney. It sometimes felt like my sinuses were full of cement. I cannot imagine trying to fly with that. :scared: I hope you are finally feeling better!

The Pop Century food court :rotfl:

hmmmm...I'm hoping we can hit Epcot or MK. A morning soar would be amazing, but so would seeing the castle in the morning. DHS is my dad's favorite park, and I'm having ToT withdrawals, so I'm guessing we'll hit DHS at some point, too. I can't wait to be there and texting you about where we are!

:yay: I'm so excited! It's really starting to hit me now that we're leaving really, really soon -- I'm trying to get a bunch of homework done before we leave, and I also realized that I never bought a camera case or an extra battery (still haven't even decided on that :rotfl: ) Hopefully that will all get done today after I finish my observations for class.

:lmao: That's hilarious! We do seem to share a brain so I'm not TOO surprised you're having the weird dreams, too :rotfl:

I'm sorry about your internet  I know how frustrating that can be.

Good luck on getting all of your homework done. I'm having to take a class at another school because mine didn't offer it this semester and I need it to graduate...and of course we don't have the same spring breaks...that would be asking to much...so one of our nights I will be sitting at the Boardwalk doing homework...still balcony at the BWV beats my living room any night.

And I meant to tell you, I was in Target last week and I saw that they carry extra batteries for the Sony H series...since we have the same model camera...Patrick and I are debating getting a second battery as well...we each have an H10 so we usually just steal one of the batteries from the other camera, but we are thinking it might be nice to have 2 functioning cameras this trip...

It was a really strange dream....I even remember thinking that it was strange...Not that I wouldn't love to meet CP, but it was just weird...and Patrick was hanging out with them like he had known them forever...:confused3:confused3

It's behaving for now -- if it starts misbehaving again it's probably a sign to do my homework. I had to go to the mall with Charles to observe the same group of people, so I need to type up that observation/analysis, answer the questions, and finish up the next set of questions in the study guide. I should be able to get all of that done tonight. Today was my unexpected day off so I should really have something to show for it.

Charles and I were in Target today looking!! I didn't have my camera on me at the time, so we left, went back to my house to get the camera, and then went to Best Buy. I ended up with a case and a spare battery. :) I think it will be very useful. He asked if I was going to get another memory stick but I'm planning on just dumping all the pictures onto my laptop as soon as we get back to the room, because heaven forbid I try to upload pictures to my laptop that are already on iPhoto...it takes many, many tries to finally upload them, sometimes it doesn't work at all and I have to delete a bunch of pictures that are already uploaded, and it's incredibly irritating. I don't want that. :rotfl:

Yes! I'll be in single digits on Sunday!

Unfortunately instead of feeling better today, I felt worse  My mom took me to the doctor and they said I have a virus and I can't do anything but let it run its course. I hate it when they say that :headache: I'm really stressed about missing this much school, especially since I'm missing a day for Disney. We couldn't get a flight back until Monday night so there's really no way around that. But next week I'll be busy with make up work so maybe that will make the week go by faster ::yes::

I'm sooooo glad this didn't happen in Disney. At the moment I can't really eat anything besides soup and crackers and really bland foods. I've been eating more today but I don't have much energy since I haven't been eating much all week.

All I can do right is relax and remember that two weeks from right now I'll be in line for Fantasmic! :cloud9:

I forgot to comment on this last night:

Our flight leaves Boston at 7 AM, so we'll get to Orlando around 10 or a little after, ride the fake monorail, check in at the ME counter, and take the ME to Pop.

:rotfl: The fake monorail always gets me excited because I know when I get to the other side, the ME counter isn't far away :)

I can't wait to be there and texting you about where we are!

Feel free to text me too! It'll get me even more excited :)

I absolutely hate hearing that it is just a virus that needs to run its course!! That's part of the reason I never went to the doctor when I was sick -- I figured that was all they'd tell me, and I don't go to the doctor unless I am really, really sick and not showing any signs of getting better. Charles (my boyfriend) hates that I do it, but he is the same way. He once was sick for almost a month before he went to the doctor -- turned out he had walking pneumonia. So I use that as my defense for not going to the doctor :rotfl: I also hate the feeling so exhausted and weak because you can't eat much, but eating too much, or food that isn't bland, can make you feel even worse. :confused3

I love the fake monorail! It always makes me so excited. I especially love going by and seeing all the palm trees. It makes me really realize that I am in Disney. :)

I'll definitely text you! Can you get pictures on your phone?

Same here. My mom made me go today because I was worse this morning than yesterday. I seem to be doing better now though :)

Yes!!! The palm trees make me stop and say "Wait a minute. I'm REALLY here!!!!!" :cool1:

Yes I can get pictures! Getting Disney pictures will be so awesome! Especially since I'll be able to say "I'll be there next week!"

Awww....palm trees....fake monorail....driving under the WDW arches!

I really need a trip to WDW! I am so jealous!

I'm glad you found a camera bag and battery today. :thumbsup2
One less thing to worry about.

Are you planning on putting updates on here while you are gone?

You are going at the end of summer, right? When you are there, I'll be crying because I'm having withdrawals. :rotfl:

Definitely one less thing to worry about! The camera case was especially a big deal to me because it's a bigger camera and a bigger bag, and I didn't want anything to happen to it. I was glad that Charles talked me into the extra battery, too.

I'm not sure how much I'll get online while we're down there, but I'm sure I'll get on at least once and update. :)

We're leaving in five days!

I feel like there is still so much I have to get done. I had a nice little to-do list typed up, but of course once I printed it out, I was finding more things to add. Four of the nine things on my list are actually related to our two guinea pigs. :lmao: I want to type up a quick little care sheet for them for Mike, clean out their cage on Tuesday night, buy more hay and pellets, and buy and cut up some veggies for them so that all Mike has to do is take some out of the ziploc bag and put it in their bowl.

I've kind of started the packing process. Kind of. I went through my closet this morning and separated most of what I'm bringing from my other clothes. I seem to missing one hoodie. :confused3 I do have another one I can bring, but it's still annoying me.

I finished most of the homework that's due after I get back! I have observations due every week, but I didn't start the one that's due after we get back. I'm still not completely clear on what we have to do, and we'll be discussing it on Monday, so I'm just going to wait on that one. I do know it involves observing someone I see on a daily basis over the course of five days, so I think it will be much easier to just wait.

The one thing on my to-do list that I'm really excited about is going to Coinstar to cash in my coins. I don't often carry cash, but when I do, I save up all the change and dump it into an empty cup or water bottle. I currently have a vitamin water bottle filled almost to the top, and I've thrown a couple of singles and five dollar bills in there. That plus the Disney gift cards from my dad and DisKate is going to be my souvenir money. :thumbsup2 I'm probably going to cash in the change on Tuesday.

The rest of the stuff I need to get done is just laundry, making sure my room is clean (because I refuse to come back to a messy room), emptying my camera's memory card, and making sure my iPod is charged for the flight down.

I've been obsessively checking accuweather.com, because I thought that we were supposed to get snow Tuesday into Wednesday. :scared1: There's a ridiculous thread over on the theme parks boards, but when I mentioned it to my mom yesterday, she pointed out that it was still almost a week out, and that's pretty early to predict anything. Later on, she said that it looks like it's going to be much farther south of us, and if worst came to worst, we'd just try to leave on Tuesday night or something. When I checked a little earlier, it says that there is a chance of flurries on Wednesday, and probably a little snow on Wednesday night. That's the only mention of snow. I'll still be checking, but I refuse to stress over it.

Now I'm off to one of my last three days of work! I'm working today, tomorrow, and Sunday, and then I'm officially on vacation! :dance3:

Have a fantastic Friday!

I am planning on doing the whole Coinstar thing for this next trip, too. I have a jar on our kitchen desk that I have been tossing change into.

Just an FYI for all that love Coinstar...some of the machines actually dispense Disney Gift Cards...and on some if you take your money in GC then they don't charge you the .09 or whatever it is on each dollar

Can't pass up the chance for Free Dining! :woohoo::woohoo:

It feels so far away...I'm glad to have DIS friends going in between so I can live vicariously through them. :)

I can't wait for both of your pics!

Good luck with the packing. You can always buy a Disney hoodie when you get there. ;)

I hope you are able to get the Disney gift card at Coinstar!

I've always wanted guinea pigs, they look so fluffy and cute.

:goodvibes for good flying weather.

Happy last day of work before your vacation!

Oh, the packing. I still haven't started. :rotfl: I'm hoping to have my suitcase upstairs and in my room tomorrow. The bag I use as my carryon (since it has a separate part for my laptop) is also the bag I use for school, so I have to wait till after class tomorrow to start with packing my carryon stuff.

Guinea pigs are so much fun! Ours are a little spazzy and don't like to get picked up, but once they're being held they're so sweet. They can also be quite loud.

I didn't actually have to work today!! I didn't get a chance to update that yesterday, but she gave me today off without my requesting it. :woohoo: I don't work Mondays and Tuesdays because of school, but I work EVERY Sunday. I was so excited when I saw my schedule!

I'm feeling MUCH better now! I'm actually leaving the house today! I've been stuck in the house for a week so I'm very excited :rotfl:

Yay for texts and pictures! :yay:

It's time for me to do the single digits dance!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dance3:

YAY for single digits! And for being able to leave the house -- I have so been there. I was really sick a couple of years ago with some viral thing that gave me high fevers and later a sinus/middle ear infection, and there were days that my fever would go down, or go away, and I'd make the mistake of venturing out for a little while because I was going insane, and then coming home and feeling like I was dying. I'm so glad you're better!

We got Mickey Mail yesterday!!!!!!!! 34 Days til Disney!!!!

Mickey mail!!!!! :dance3: :woohoo: I am so excited for you -- you're almost in the 20's, too!

THREE DAYS!

I'm really starting to get crazy over the fact that we are going. Yesterday (Saturday) ended up being my last day of work! I don't work Mondays and Tuesdays because of school, but I work every single Sunday, without fail. At first, I was torn between being peeved and excited. Peeved because it's time and a half, and excited because it meant an extra day of vacation. Then I realized, "hey, I have my tax refund and vacation and personal day pay. Not working isn't going to kill me." Once I took that mindset on Friday afternoon, I was a very happy camper. :rotfl:

You guys all know that I was sick not too long ago with some weird sinus thing. I got over that, thankfully, and this weekend has been my mom and Kailyn's turn to get sick and get it over with before Disney. :( Kailyn woke my mom up at 5 AM yesterday because she threw up, and I think she might have gotten sick once or twice more, but after that, she slept for most of the day and felt pretty okay. I texted her last night before I left work asking if she wanted me to pick her up anything, and she requested Vitamin Water and apple slices. I texted back and said that it pained me to pick her up apples because I can't eat them (I have an allergy to raw apples), but I got them for her, anyway. She ate them last night and drank the Vitamin Water, slept a good bit today, and even ate couple of scallion pancakes when my grandmother brought us chinese food! So, she's definitely feeling better, and I'm so relieved. Her getting sick on vacation has been a huge source of anxiety for me. There's definitely something going around her school -- my mom said that at least three of her teachers were out on Friday. I'm just so glad that whatever it was is now out of her system.

Then, last night, my mom ended up getting sick. :sad2: She's better today, but she's not going into work tomorrow. She works at a child care center in Kailyn's high school, and pretty much ALL of her babies have been sick. There are the parents who don't follow the rule that their child has to be without a fever or symptoms for 24 hours that still send them in, so needless to say, it spread. She hasn't been sick since last night, which I'm taking as a good sign, and her not going into work tomorrow is definitely going to help.

I've also been obsessively checking the weather, because even though we've gone mostly in January and February, always flying out of Boston (and having the worst winter, snow-wise, last year), the possibility of snow still makes me anxious. At work yesterday, I heard a couple of people say something about a Nor'easter Tuesday or Wednesday. :scared1: My mom keeps updating me with what she hears on the news, and the last I heard is that the DC area, which just got slammed with a ton of snow, is probably going to get hit again, and that if it hits Massachusetts, it will most likely be southern MA, down around the Cape, which isn't us. Both my parents think that our 7 AM flight is going to be a very good thing, and neither of them are stressing about the possibility of snow, which makes it a little easier for me not to stress.

I also did a little trip-related shopping at Kohls today. :rolleyes1 I needed at least one more pair of jeans, so that was my main goal, but I ended up walking out with an extra pair of jeans (I checked the price and they were on sale for $20 instead of $35! I could NOT pass that up!), six more pairs of socks, two tank tops, and two t-shirts. I dropped $80 in there, which made me feel a little guilty at first, and then I realized that the jeans alone would have cost me $70 originally. The shirts were all buy one, get one free, and the socks were buy one, get one 50% off. I've been bragging to Charles about my bargains ever since I got home. :lmao:

I still need to pack, go to Coinstar, buy and cut up veggies for the guinea pigs, empty my camera's memory card, make sure my iPod is fully charged, and clean the guinea pigs' cage. THAT'S IT! Oh, and pack. I don't have my suitcase yet and my carryon bag is also my school bag, but once I'm out of class tomorrow, I can start packing the carryon stuff. :dance3: I can't believe we're leaving in three days!

I've missed a TON of school this year, so I tried to go into school on Wednesday but ended up coming home and being gone the rest of the week. I've been so sick this school year. I was out for a few days in September with migraines. I had the flu in October. Not the swine flu, it was the stomach flu. Then I had another stomach bug in November. :scared1: I was fine December and January, so I figured I filled my sickness quota  Strangely enough, my grades are better this year than last year but I've missed almost double the amount of school. It might be because I work better under pressure :confused3 But just a few more weeks until the warm weather starts so hopefully I'll be healthy the rest of the school year. At least I'm not as bad as the girl who had swine flu and was out for a month

This is going to be a VERY long week with 4 and a half days worth of make up work to do :scared1: But I'm hoping that will make it go by faster. When the final bell rings on Friday I'll be like this  Then I'll officially be on vacation and I can get into full Disney mode!

I'm worried about the snow too! For you and for me! It's not soon enough for me to get an accurate prediction for the 16th, so I'll be worrying all week

I work so well under pressure, it's awful! Last semester, I had a paper that had, I think, nine different sections, and each section was to have at least five paragraphs each. Add in the intro and conclusion and that's 47 paragraphs. :scared1: Of course, I didn't bother doing that math until after I was already writing it three days before it was due. It ended up being 19 pages and I got a perfect score on it, like 30/30, which was made even better because the professor is amazing, but a hard grader. :rotfl2: She's the chair of the early childhood education department at my school, so I've had her for a few classes and have her this semester, too. I know what to expect yet I'm still putting off her work. :rotfl:

I'm super paranoid about the snow. I basically won't quit worrying until we're already on the plane and in the air. I checked accuweather for my city, and it says snow and 1-3", which is nothing, and I don't think it's starting till after we leave. I'm so grateful for that 7 AM flight. :worship:
