The reports that current management is moving towards "short-term acts" as opposed to "long-timers"
certainly seems to be the case on The Mill Stage.

Since Off Kilter was let go The Mill Stage has seen FOUR acts(with a fifth one to come)!

Canadian Lumberjacks
TradNation
Alberta Bound
Les Parfaits Inconnus
And another new act to come as Les Parfaits leaves September 3.

Do you think the plan is to eventually get rid of all the "long-timers" and implement the "short-term acts" in all the Countries and,if so,who do you think will be the next to go?

Serveur Amusant
Jeweled Diamond Acrobats
Sergio
Mariachi Cobre
Matsuriza
Voices of Liberty
British Revolution

Pretty safe bet that it won't be the Voices.

American Music Machine, not so sure. But management has made it clear that they want activity in the AmGar Theater, so someone will be there, and the AMM has been pretty well-received, as far as I can tell.

I will be heartbroken if Serveur Amusant leaves, this is my favorite act in WS.

I enjoyed Alberta Bound. I expected to see them in July, I am surprised. I just hope it is always music in Canada.

We enjoy the Mariachi band, they certainly have been around a very long time.

They've already done that. The acts are being signed to short-term contracts. The only one of the "new" acts (since fall 2014) that has hung around more than a year is the flag throwers in Italy.

Voices of Liberty are still Disney, not contractors. I think the mariachis are contractors but they have been around a long time. So have the mimes in France and Italy, and the Japanese drummers.

Who do you think will be the next long-term act to be let go?

I hope it is not the acrobats!:)

I don't think any of the ones you listed will be going anywhere. They were there before 2014. All the short termers were hired starting in 2014, to replace long-standing acts made up of performers who were considered Disney employees. I am pretty sure the only act left that are still Disney employees are Voices of Liberty (not so sure about American Music Machine). I have basically no knowledge about the China acrobats though, the last time I remember watching them the troupe was made up of minor kids, and that was changed a long time ago.

They should put Voices of Liberty in the American Gardens Theater. American Music Machine is fine, but I find myself wanting to go Van Gogh after walking past their show the 3rd, 4th or 37th time. Something about the same short snippets of the same songs in the same order over and over and over...

My guys loved Mo'Roccan. I liked the music, and they were gaga over the belly dancer.

OT but I love l'etage du moulin!! Maybe because my name is Dumoulin. We take a picture of "our" stage every time we go to Epcot!!

If we can't have Off Kilter back, the only way to generate interest in the Mill Stage is to put a Rush tribute band up there while Shania Twain serves free Mickey waffles and real Canadian maple syrup to guests while they watch Stanley Cup reruns on a big screen with color commentary by Mike Myers and Jim Carrey.

Why are Voices safe? Management only cares about cost. They are not cheap. Better watch out

No one is safe from the bean counters. (And I am a bean counter)

I can see where you're coming from, but the rotunda of the pavilion was designed for vocal acoustics, and it makes a noticeable difference in their sound. So that alone is a good enough reason in my book to keep the Voices in the rotunda.
As for the AMM, they do have two different sets, at least. Is that why you only want to do one ear?
