Along with the large lot, there is a small parking lot right before the Polynesian. The taxis wait there. I believe it is also for guest drop off and pick up, and for the kennel.

Oh yes.....a very large parking lot. As you drive in towards MK you will see the lots on your left. If I remember correctly there are shuttles that run from the parking lot to the TTC, but I could be wrong. I've never parked there before.

There is a little tram that picks up all around the car park and takes you back to the TTC itself. From there you can either get the monorail or ferry to Magic Kingdom or the monorail to Epcot or buses to Animal Kingdom, MGM or Downtown Disney.

There is no bus to DTD from the TTC.

The kennels actually have a VERY small parking lot of their own immediately before the TTC as you drive West on Seven Seas Drive. Really, it is all part of the TTC I guess but there is a lot separate from the taxi and drop off area.

Was that parking lot used for other things once upon a time? It seems too big for just a taxi staging area and guest drop off point.

Yes, the relatively large lot where taxis wait now was handicapped parking not too many years ago.

I imagine the abuse of hang tags led to the change.
