TS without ADR. Possible?

Hey all knowledgeable Disers,

My family and I are going back to the Mouses' House June 2009. My kids will be 15 and 18 at the time of the trip which means that they will want to go out on their own with out the old fogeys (aka Mom and Dad). We have decided to not do the dining plan so we could be more loose and relaxed with our meals. I would like to be able to go to a TS for a meal at some points during the trip, however, my wife and I have decided that we want to be very layed back about our dining. My question is do you all think that we would have any difficulty in getting ADR on the day of our desired meal as long as we are flexible as to the restaurant?

Be flexible about the time and restaurant (including the possibility of eating at one of the resorts) and sure, there are plenty of reservations open somewhere.

If there are just 2 of you then you should not have a problem. DD and I went last month and were able to get into places with no more than a 15 min wait.

I am not sure how much this would help but when my family and I were just at WDW we wanted to see if we were told there would be no room at Kona Cafe for the 3 of us, since it was during dinner and during free dining. Well the Cast Member said the wait without an ADR would be 45 minutes to one hour. So even during a time like free dining we could have gone there without an ADR, if we did not mind the wait. I should also mention at the time the restaurant was packed and no one without an ADR was being turned away.
