Tropical Dreams, Mermaid Food, and Wishes on Wheels Oh My! 1st PTR

I love that you're watching the movies! My husband and I just said the other day that we have to re-watch as many movies as possible before October. I just watched Lilo & Stitch last night, since it was on ABC Family. Trying to figure out the best way if I don't own them though.

I hope that you will just have a "perfect" attack. I've seen Wishes from directly in front of the castle, from the FP area that was in the rose garden, back near Casey's Corner, and also right at the beginning of Main Street close to the exit. It was wonderful from all locations. If you can utilize the FP reservation for wishes it might give your family a bit more space - being solo it wasn't a big deal to squeeze in directly in front of the castle, but it was very "friendly" standing room.
Good ideas! Truthfully on the beach or in the lounge at the Poly might be close enough for me. "Standing room only" means "surrounded by butts" when you're in a chair! :lmao:
OK, this will likely reveal a bit of my inner craziness, but I ordered a thin pink gold ring from a custom company on Etsy. It is right beside my wedding band, and I will never take it off!
ooooh want to see! Do you have pictures? :D
Peter Pan - oh, they recently redid the line queue, and it is very detailed. Peter Pan is not in my top favorite movies, but I did enjoy Hook, so it actually surprised me at how it became one of my favorite attractions. It's a very smooth gentle attraction, but I love how as you enter the attraction in your flying boat, the CM sprinkles some fairy dust on you so that you can fly. It's dark inside the ride, and my favorite part is flying over the city of London. I always use FP for this ride, and also go on any time the line up is 30 minutes or less. If I'm by myself, I'll even go on it if the line up is longer!
Okay you've totally convinced me and I'm going to add it to the wishlist!
I love that you're watching the movies! My husband and I just said the other day that we have to re-watch as many movies as possible before October.
It's such a fun way to amp up energy for a trip! *mumbles* not that I need any ammping lol

I love Lilo and Stitch! :stitch2: I'm having the very same issue! Sadly, a bunch of films on that list are not going to be doable *sniff* as there is no way to afford them. :confused3 Do you have Netflix though? There are a bunch of Disney movies on there right now including Fantasia! :D

It's tiny so you only make fun of me a small amount.

You see my husband NEEDS no REQUIRES the DDP or we don't go. Lol. For me I balk at it a bit as though we like a lot of different foods we eat small portions most of the time! He gets his way though and WDW is his only true relaxed vacation thus far, including Hawaii- but that was because of the cruise not the Islands. Keeping him a happy man means we do the DDP whether free or paid, it is reassurance to him, and that makes me happy too. I had to run the numbers though. I see so many people here on the DIS discussing the good and bad of the dining plan, I just had to know.
Well, I ran the numbers **, and while we would never have that many desserts, and will add an appetizer here and there, as well as copious-ermm occasional *wink wink* drinks we still come out okay. As of next year the Rascal will be 10 so we'll be 4 Disney Adults. Crazy. However, that kid can eat and likes a variety of food, so I feel it is a positive thing. Husband won the theoretical dining challenge and we have oodles of QS meals left!
**Every website said to go with the Peak Season pricing these are for 2015 July, if those are off oopsie doodle +20% tip not calculated !
Now we're a happy family Pete gets DDP, I don't freak at the cost, and the whole family will get to eat meals the way we like to eat. *smiles*

No pictures, just a simple pink gold band - Subtle Princess!

Oooh, that restaurant planner looks good! I may have to steal that idea. I trapped DD17 in the car today and blabbed Disney at her (she is way too cool for Disney at the moment) and made her debate dining plan and trip with me today. I am tempted to try a moderate resort if going solo to test if it is worth the money, and tempted to go without dining plan so that I can pick and choose better, and maybe not end up with lots of unused credits at the end. Lots of time to mull this over and change my mind of course.

Be Our Guest - I did that for my birthday brunch too! So yummy!
Oh I was unclear! DO you have a picture with your Princess ring, with you wearing it? :) I think it rocks!
The restaurant planner is... http://www.distripplanner.com and it is AWESOME! Then I cross referenced from the WDW site for menus and prices.
Oh how neat that you went there for your birthday! Did you love it?
Do it! a solo trip in a moderate would be dreamy!!!

Wow, that's a lot of Disney Math!! I'm glad you did it because I wasn't gonna!! lol. But it's good that everyone can relax about the food now that you've got all that figured out. I do like to share meals or eat appies as meals sometimes too so I wasn't sure about it. That's a lot of good food on your list lol..making me hungry!

I figured you and your daughter shared meals! :D Celeste and I have been sharing since she was 3 as she decided whatever I was having was more interesting than what she was eating (even if they were the same things)! The only places we differ is she does not eat shrimp or lobster and I do sometimes. At Disney we found QS fed way more than one of us, but we're table service fiends and Disney is a fun way to try a variety! Right now I'm making Veggie Lasagna...this one. not my photo.
ZucSpinLasagna.jpg
but I've also gotten even more hungry off of dining reviews here on this site! lol.
What are your thoughts on Disney Dining Plan? Have to pop over to your PTR and catch up on what I've missed!
~P.s. do you have Pinterest?! :)

Hey...yes this is me on Pinterest...As for DDP, I could have gotten it with our upcoming hotel stay at POFQ, but chose not to. (it would not have been free). Part of it was the money - ie: we are arriving in the afternoon on day 1...leaving early on our last day...And as I said, sharing a lot of meals and appetizers and stuff most likely.

Also, when we are going in October, Food and Wine will be on at Epcot - so they day we spend there, we may make a meal (or even two) out of just the snack type portions there to get to try a few different things. Hubby doesn't like to eat that way - ie: small bits of different things...but DD and I totally do...and since it will be just us for this trip...it will be awesome lol. DD is not nearly as picky as her brother either so I think we will do well with it.

On our last trip in March, it was only 2 days there and one park day, so we didn't get DDP because it really didn't make sense for us then. But I do think...if hubby and DS were coming with us, and they like to eat more sit down full meals, it might make sense. But the other thing for me, in addition to it maybe/maybe not being worth the money, is the wastage - I hate wasting food, or credits or whatever...so I wouldn't want to feel obliged to order certain things etc with being on the DDP. THAT SAID, I don't actually know exactly all the details of where/where you can't use it etc and how you can save up credits and use them later etc...so I may be talking completely out my (rear end lol)

That veggie lasagna looks delish BTW.

Feeling as overstuffed as the veggie lasagna, drinking a scotch on the rocks, and watching Captain America: Winter Soldier with the family...it's a good night! :D Still weird to think of this as a "Disney" movie night though. lol.

Oh, and I'm still waiting for a proper Black Widow movie!

Joining in for the ride! We are going down in fall of 2016, and DF keeps looking at me crazy when I mention dismeets. I told him what your DH does, and he goes "now see that would be a fun meet". He's a comic book nut and has even gotten me into with all the movies out now. I know way too much Marvel knowledge lol.

*waves* Hello friends! I'll respond later to messages, right now I've sick kids one I think with tonsillitis or strep -we just picked her up from a friend's house yesterday- and the Rascal may have bronchitis (I think). *le sigh* School just can't end fast enough this year.

Been there. They eventually grow up.... but oddly enough still get sick.
But then you can just laugh at them.
