Ugh, that last night is heartbreaking. I think you handled it well though! Hang out on the beach, eat Dole Whips and drag it out! Yep!

We were determined to drag that evening out as long as possible!!

After DH and I left Ohana we strolled back to the room to get the kids.



DS11 wanted one last Dole Whip, so we went to Captain Cook's.

I'd love to have one of those installed in my kitchen!!!!


Sad to see your TR winding down but I'm secretly hoping you finish in the next week... some of us have to leave for Disney trips soon!

Well, I don't know how you were feeling that night, but after reading that update and watching those videos, I feel pretty relaxed and ready for bed myself! Can't imagine a better evening. The sound of the train whistle just made my heart happy!

I just have to say that your younger son looks EXACTLY like you. You two look like twins in the pic of you and the boys on the swing. I need to see a side-by-side like that of your DH and your older son so I can see if they look just alike.

Glad to hear you've been busy with work (Disney work that is). I am so excited because DD's gymnastics coach just asked me if I could quote a trip for the WHOLE gymnastics team to go to WDW for a performance!! I sure hope she decides to go through with that!! I have another family who is there right now and I had 4 other families ask me about quotes over Memorial weekend. This job is crazy! It's either all at once, or nothing! You'll have to email me when things slow down for you and catch me up on all that's been going on. I'm excited to hear how it's going for you!

What a nice evening and a perfect way to end a great trip! Just relaxing and enjoying your happiest place on earth. It's hard to believe that was in December. I see you had a little jacket on, but the boys in their shorts makes it look like a summer evening. Too funny about the creeper in your pic!

I love the sounds in the balcony videos, especially the train whistle!

What a lovely evening! I have never stayed at the Poly, but sort of "pretended" on our fall trip. It's just so beautiful and relaxing! We spent a lot of time there!! I know that a lot of Poly fans are not happy about the proposed DVC changes, but at least for me, I will get to stay there with my DVC points someday!!

I can't believe it's over almost.

It seems like 900 years ago since we were there. SO HAPPY you did this report and that you took your time getting thru it-- it prolonged the trip's memories just long enough for us to get ready for our next ones! (Still can't get over the fact that we aren't going at the same time... WTheck?!?!)

Love the pic of DS11 at the Dole Whip machine!! He needs one of those for summer so that way he can serve the 'Whips and DS14 can DJ and they will keep the party going all night long.


Rinky's right though- you and DS11 look identical. Well minus the hair. I bet your baby pics were the same. And yes-- your older son and DH do indeed look a lot alike in person!!

Now- the videos.... omg. The boat whistle to me is WDW. It just is. And then to hear the train whistle too? It made me smile so big! Thanks for posting it. I can't wait to show it to Belle. She is going to freak.

We are going on the 17th! But we won't get to WDW until the 19th. Wanted to go a week later, but DS would have had to miss freshmen orientation.

Yes, DS11 has always looked just like me in the face. Round face and chubby cheeks!! DS14 does look like DH. He really looked exactly like him when he was a baby, and still looks like him some now.

Wow that is awesome about the gymnastic coach!! I really hope that works out for you. My boss at the school just booked 3 rooms on DCL and will be booking 3 rooms at WDW when next years rates come out soon! You are right, it seems to be all or nothing. Crazy!

It was a great night. I'm so glad we spent it that way and not out running around!

I don't really remember what the temperature was that evening - maybe in the low 70's... Maybe Jodi remembers. Definitely hard to believe it was December! I could get used to December weather like that!

It is so beautiful and relaxing there. So easy to just hang out and enjoy your surroundings.

Yeah, I'm not too happy that they feel the need to add yet another DVC to the monorail. I guess it will make some DVC owners happy though.

I sure does seem like it was forever ago. Sorry to have taken so long writing this report, but I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Oh yes, a Dole Whip machine and DJ DS14 playing the tunes - wouldn't we be the coolest house ever?!!!

Hello!

One more day of school to go!! We have a half day tomorrow and we are done! Then the kids will have their annual "last day of school" party here tomorrow evening. Fun Fun!!


So sad to see this TR come to an end, but it is that time...


Day 8 – Sunday December 16



We were up early and got ready. The ME bus was coming around 8:15am.

Once we were all ready we called Bell Service for help with our luggage to the ME bus stop. While we were waiting on them, I took one last video.

And pretty soon there was a knock at the door and a very nice CM from Bell Services was there. Then we made our way out to the ME bus stop.

Does the look on my face say it all or what???

And before we knew it we were on the bus and then back to the airport.

Then we were in the sky and back home.

And that's that – Trip number nine was done and over with. So hard to believe how fast the trips go by, especially considering how much time & effort go into planning them.


I will be back with a new more posts - final thoughts and things of that nature. Thanks so much for reading!

Hey Shelly, Just got back from our latest trip to Disney. I'm having post-Disney blues. It's always sad when you have to leave Disney and head back to the "real" world. At least you have another trip coming up soon!
