I took these photos a couple of days ago (on Fri, 1/16/09).

THV1.jpg

Photo taken from the pathway between OKW and SSR/DD. That's a Port Orleans ferry coming upstream with some THV's in the background.

THV2.jpg

A little closer look at one of the villas.

THV4.jpg

From the Grandstand area of SSR, looking across the golf course at the THV's on the other side. You can't see it, but the golf cart path goes right along the temporary green fencing that follows the treeline by the villas.

THV5.jpg

Starting to walk down the pathway that goes between SSR and the THV.

THV10.jpg

Looking down the pathway a little further. You can see it curves, first to the left, then to the right, following the small trees, and heads over to the THV area. The path goes between the green of the hole on the right, and the tee area for the next hole. I didn't see any numbers on the flag so don't know what the actual hole number is.

THV6.jpg

About halfway down the path, a view across the golf course

THV7.jpg

The path is closed off right where it enters the THV area. That's also where it crosses the golf cart path which follows the treeline right along all the Treehouses as explained for pix #3 above.

THV8.jpg

Looking just over the fence at one of the villas.

THV9.jpg

From the Grandstand area of SSR, looking back toward the pathway we walked to THV. You can just barely see the path itself. From the THV area (on the left but not in the photo), it goes across that small bridge with the railing and then follows the small trees toward the right (toward SSR).

Hope you enjoyed the photos.

Very nice! I think our family would like a woodsy stay one time at least. I hope a non-SSR owner has a chance, sometime. I feel DVC took away our chance to stay in a FW "cabin" by charging that $95 fee. I'm not paying that just on principle! I won't rule out an SSR add on, we'll see.

Oh my goodness. These are awesome! So close. Thank you Caskbill for posting them.

Great pictures! :thumbsup2 Thank you for posting.

It looks like they are coming along very nicely.

Thanks for the great pics! I'll be up early on Feb 8th trying to snag one for a couple of nights after our cruise in Nov. We me luck!

What wonderful pictures (as always!). We will be at SSR in March and I can't wait to see them. I am not a DVC member (yet!! Hopefully, later this year!), but I hope to stay in these once I become one!!

Another big Thank You for the pics!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I have friends who hope to stay in one later this year. So maybe I'll get to visit them. They do look nice!

Hope you enjoy the remainder of your stay.

Thanks for the pictures. Can't wait to get more info and see more pictures. We hope to stay there in Nov.

What $95 fee? I've been looking forward to staying at FW in a cabin sometime on points, but if we have to pay an additional fee..........it's not as if it's an economical use of pts anyway!
