traveling from Epcot to MGM

What is the quickest way to travel from Epcot to MGM about noonish? Is the bus the only transportation available between those 2 parks? We will not have a rental car.

If you exit via the international gateway, you can take the friendship boats to MGM from Epcot, it takes about 25 minutes. There is also a walking path to the parks, which takes slightly less time and is my preference.

We like to walk out the back of World Showcase (between England and France) and either take the boat or walk on the path. The boat is preferable, but we have beaten it by walking. Takes about 20-25 minutes by boat or 15 min walking at a decent pace. Quicker because you don't have to wait for the boat, loading and unloading etc. We enjoy the walk, but depending on how young the kids with you are, how tired you are etc, the boat may be preferable and it is a nice relaxing ride.

I think you'll find that the walking times vary quite a bit, based of course on how fast you walk. 15 minutes is about the shortest I've ever seen anyone say it takes, and I've seen some say it takes 30+ minutes.

If speed is your priority, and you can walk pretty fast, walking is almost certainly the fastest way. Even if you happened upon a boat as it was preparing to leave Epcot, you'd probably still beat it, but again it depends on your pace.

Depending on the weather and how much of a hurry you are really in, the boats can be a more relaxing way to make the trip though.

We take the boat as a chance to rest our feet and enjoy the ride. You must walk fast to do it in 15. My family always tells me to slow down and it took me 25-30 minutes. But it is a nice walk.

As you go out the international gateway, and a boat is leaving or you see it disappearing under the bridge, just walk to the yacht club because the boat stops at the baordwalk first, then yc, then swan and then mgm.
