Travel Time?

I have 5:15 ADR at the Poly for the Luau. I am in MK that day. What time do I need to leave MK to jump on the monorail to get to the Poly?

I would say leave 3:45 / 4:00. That would give you enough time to get to the Poly (yes I know you are just taking the monorail or you could take one of the boats), get to Poly, check in, get your picture taken (if you want), go to the bathroom, get a drink, an relax a few before your Luau starts.

How quick do you walk? Just turn right past the bus station and there you are. Quicker to walk than wait for the monorail!

If we take a slow stroll it's max 10 minutes for us.

Since you can walk to the Contemporary, I'd say you can wait until 7. (And I mean actually leaving the park, not being way in the back and deciding it's time to make your way towards the exit. )

From the time the resort monorail departs the MK station, it will take about 8 1/2 minutes to get to the Polynesian station. That's without any issues that slow or stop the train or any longer than normal stops at the Contemporary hotel or the TTC.

The boat launch that serves the Grand Floridian & Polynesian resorts will get you from the MK entrance to the Polynesian dock in about 10 minutes.

That time of day, crowds shouldn't be an issue so your wait will likely be no longer than "catching the next one".

From either the Polynesian boat dock or monorail station, it is a short walk to the Spirit of Aloha show.

You could also catch the express monorail or the ferry..shorter travel times but they drop you at the TTC which means a much longer walk to the luau venue.
