Does anyone have a spreadsheet outlining transportation inside/around WDW via Resort to Resort bus, boats, monorail, etc?
Any help would be appreciated!!
Thanks!

Our Laughing Place is a good place to give you an 'idea' of what to expect. But beware...it is badly outdated. It gives some really incorrect info there. But, some stuff is still okay. The issue is for those who really have no idea what's right and what's wrong.

If you have any specific questions, you can ask here. We like nothing better than discussing the various ways around WDW.

Here are the basics:

  • There is transportation from all 4 theme parks to all other theme parks.
  • There is transportation from all resorts to all 4 theme parks, both water parks, and Downtown Disney.
  • There is no transportation from the theme parks to Downtown Disney.
  • There is no direct transportation from most resorts to other resorts; however, some resorts do share transportation (i.e. the buses to the All-Star resorts often stop at all three).
  • All WDW transportation is free and unrestricted. You can use it even if you are staying at an off-site hotel.
  • All WDW monorails and buses are wheelchair and ECV accessible. Buses can only accommodate a limited number of wheelchairs and ECV, however - they must be secured in a special part of the bus before departure.
  • Most boats are accessible, but some of the smaller motor launches from MK to the MK resorts are too small to accommodate a chair or ECV
  • Strollers MUST be folded on all WDW buses and on some of the smaller boats, but can be left unfolded and occumpied on the monorail, MK ferryboats, and the Friendship Launches in the Epcot area
  • Self-driving to any WDW destination is almost always quicker than WDW transportation. Exceptions would be:
--->Epcot resort to Epcot - it's walking distance from the resorts to the side entrance of Epcot
--->Any resort to MK - MK buses and the Resorts monorail line both stop near the park gates, but the parking lot is on the other side of the Seven Seas Lagoon from the park
  • At park closing, all transportation leaving the park will be MOBBED. Standing room only. Crowded, noisy, uncomfortable, and often smelly. Be prepared.

For some reason, I thought that there was some kind of chart that used to show how to get from place to place (ie: Resort to Resort, which Resort had alternate (not bus) transportation to the Parks, etc), something that I could print out & keep in my pocket.
We are doing more jumping around than usual this trip & I want to be prepared, in case our timing doesn't work out.

Thanks for the info everyone!

Try this one. This is one that I made up. Sheet 1 is from park to park and resort to park.
Page 2 is resort to resort and the waterparks etc.
Simply go accross the top to the location that you are at. Then scan down until you find your destination. The corresponding box, will have at least one way to go from point a-b. If it is a location such as the MK resorts that has multiple ways to go to point b, it will be listed also.

So... I drive to the MK parking lot and I want to go to Poly or GF...I can get on a resort monorail or resort boat? I do not have to go over to the park first to get on the monorail to get to these resorts?

The MK lot is next to TTC. TTC has stops on both the MK Express monorail and the Resorts monorail; you can take the Resorts monorail to any of the 3 MK resorts. You can also walk from TTC to Poly; it's a short, pleasant walk along a landscaped sidewalk that will take about 5 minutes.

Here is an aerial photo of TTC. Poly is just to the left; you can see that several of the longhouses are right next to TTC, and if you pan left a little, you can see the Great Ceremonial House, where the restaurants and shops are located.

DBS to Poly - direct bus (all parks have direct transportation to all resorts)

Poly to OKW - monorail to MK, then bus to OKW
